Pickford to Arsenal

Well the way moyes spent 30 mil. I'd rather just keep pickford.

He's won us a few games with last minute saves. Leicester and Bournemouth spring to mind.

We know he will make more saves like this, whereas any new signing impact is guess work.

Pickford has also only had a few months at the top. It's possible we've seen the best of him and he fades away. Cashing in now makes sense.

Mannone is a lower third pl keeper at best, Pickford has the potential to be one of the top 3 keepers in the league for the next 15 years.
 
i think hes way more valuable to us than 20m. he's got the ability to keep us up bearing in mind the saves hes made already which has helped us win games - he could well be the difference between relegation and staying up and thats worth WAY more than 20m. I'd like to see him stay until at least the end of this season - if we get relegated he'll be away but he may well stay if we stop up - seems a decent lad and probably wants to play for us for a few more seasons yet.

If we are to progress as a club these talents are the ones we should be keeping no matter how much money is thrown at us - we should be building teams around talented kids like this - the fact he is a local lad just makes it better

We're talking about a young kid with less than a season of experience at the top level.

I don't want him to go, he's class and will probably get even better, but there's no way he'll be sold for anywhere near what the likes of Stones went for.
 
A goalkeeper usually hits their prime much later than an outfield player due to the special attributes of the position.

At today's inflated fees he is worth a minimum of £30m due to the fact he is English
