Now that was amazing!

At the time as well it was mind-blowingly good!!

Aye I know, graphics are shite now but at the time it was mind blowing. I was the only one of my mates to have a play station, the rest got a saga Saturn or whatever the alternative was.

Aye, same here, the PSX was loads better - I got a saturn later to try and it was very underwhelming!

When I was probably too young to play the game I used to think it was first to finish wins. I worked out that if you dropped the ball for 12, you'd go to the next hole straight away... didn't even look at the scores but was dead chuffed that I was the first to finish

We used to have one at work and on nightshift we'd do the draw at the start of the shift and play the tournament through the night....I once got home half an hour late because the final ran over.

Godwars MUD put paid to me leaving uni with a degree so that was at least 2 solid years of that game in the 90's

Now its probably World of Warcraft, 6 or 7 solid of years of playing (just checked, my main is at 128 days, 15 hours, 52 minutes, 15 seconds actual time played - i cant be bothered to addup my other dozen or so characters)

:)

I've wasted weeks of my life on games in the past

Boulderdash I played non stop for ages

On the Amiga it became Lemmings

On the PC - Command and Conquer

Command and Conquer I reckon if added up has had 3 months of my life
The original Football Manager on C64 then probably Champ Man but not sure what version.

Virtua Fighter I think mate?

Sega rally as well.

Could be one of many I suppose

Now you mention it, I remember those as well, Sega rally was great(not as good as ridge racer) and from what I remember, virtua fighter was shite compared to tekken.

Has anyone mentioned doom yet? Used to spend all Saturday round me mates house playing that until baywatch came on itv, have some tea then get back on doom.

Haha wow how has doom not been mentioned?!

Then quake as well, although doom was always the best!

I honestly cannot remember which machine went with each game!

Spectrum 48 - Sea Base Delta, Star Wars

Commodore 16 - Jet Set Willy 1 & 2

Spectrum 128 - Gunship

Amiga - Supremacy

Championship Manager/Football Manager

I dread to think how much time I have spent playing them since 1994

This. And the Total War series. Used to lose whole weekends when I was about 11 playing them. I'd only surface to play football on a Sunday morning.

What a belter that was, I never spent that much time playing it, I think I got Duke nukem around the same time and played that more often.
I remember wolfinstien was another classic first person shooter, I had it on my first pc which died a death and I couldn't play it again for a few years until I got another.
