The crowd at the SOL ....

This.
The SOL on its day can no doubt be a match for most grounds but in general I don't think it's any better or any worse than anywhere else to be honest. Like you say every set of supporters up and down the country will be claiming they're the best, most loyal, atmospheric etc. Fans of the club they are claiming to be the best don't really make for the most objective of opinions really.
I think he
What you're saying is that when the chips are down nobody can match us which is your opinion but fans up and down country will think the same. I was at stoke a few year back (1-0 loss under Keane) and I actually thought they were really loud. Even my old man who's been travelling up and down country since late 40s early 50s was impressed with racket they made.
He said as a whole ground. Who as a whole ground do you think makes more racket than us during the big games, when it clicks. It obviously clicks more for other clubs than us but just saying things to go against a poster is pretty piss poor. You said most fans up and down the country will think the same. They probably do. Most fans like to think positive about their club/fans. You aside obviously, but fromthe whole country, in full voice, the whole ground, not just a stand, where do you think we stand? We cant be level with 91 other clubs surely?

The game against United in our cup final run at the SOL had a fantastic atmosphere from both sets of fans the United fans were the best away fans I've ever seen and heard at the SOL and our fans were for obvious reason fantastic too during the win.

..... makes more noise than any other ground.

I've read every thread denigrating our crowd and the lack of 'drum assisted tempo', the artistic content of the chants and the sub 40,000 crowds ..... how dare we after decades of success

But I've been on every current PL ground and imo there isn't another that can match our 'total ground' support ..... sure the little drummer boy with the Palace 'Ultras' keeps banging away all game and the Leicester 'under 15's clack brigade' beat themselves into sticky underpants but wtf.

When the SOL, as with Chelsea & Everton games, decides it's time to stand up and be counted there isn't a better crowd.

Indeed,

the roker park is no more but the roar lives on

That day man :cool::cool::cool:

One of the best times I've had supporting the lads tbh. PDC 3-0 and the league cup semi were mint too like but i went into that game pretty certain we'd lose and that the mags would beat villa to make staying up pretty unlikely. When Chelsea went 2-1 up I felt even more certain. Then we got those two goals, they couldn't break down villa and suddenly we knew we could do it. f***ing amazing.

Sima vanished until 2.30am, on the morning of the game, at which point I'd gone to bed.

I'd given him, on this board, until midnight to post his bank details to the 3rd party who'd agreed to act as a go between. I'd already sent mine.

It's all there on that thread ..... he claimed he'd 'fallen asleep'.

If he goes on that thread there'll be a few key points to draw from it

- We agreed the bet late on the Thursday afternoon, at which point I wanted to make sure my money was safe so I began to review Escrow companies that would have held the money until the conclusion of the game. You were unhappy with this as I could pull the money at any time (as could you fwiw)

- The only way you were willing to agree to the bet is if I a) went to a fictitious back street bookie who'd manage the bet for us  or b) I just handed £500 over to a complete stranger on this messageboard with absolutely no comeback for myself (what if I'd coincidentally gotten an IP ban at the conclusion of the game? Cyber high-fives all around for f***ing a mag FTM LOLZ - Not saying I would have or in no way I am trying to discredit those who offered but where's my comeback there?) I'd have been left high and dry.

- We went back and forward and later on that Friday I even suggested that you use PayPal and I will cover the PayPal fees you would incur on putting the £500 down leaving me paying both the £500 and whatever their fees are on top of that game should you have won.

- It was late on a Friday night and after working a full week that doesn't involve wandering around some house you don't own for an occupation and looking after a 1-year-old I was tired and, yes, I did fall asleep.

- I woke up during the night to check where it was and observed that you had noted that I had posted in a while so took the opportunity to discredit me at every turn (he's bottled it, etc; where is he?).

- Eventually in the morning I thought 'fuck it' and decided to agree to your terms (handing money over to a stranger (prehab?) of a rival football team on a messageboard, can you honestly say that you would do the same?) only to be told that you were on the train on the way to your game against Norwich and you didn't have internet banking on your phone (god knows who you bank with who don't have internet banking in this day and age like or what archaic relic you have as a phone that wouldn't allow such a think) and you had called the bet off.

You'll notice that I've barely mentioned anything about this since your return/I've kept really quiet [/Keegan] because I though what the fuck's the point but I'll not take you just pinning all of the blame on me for it not happening.

Even when I said donate a sum to charity after the game you refused iirc, suggesting I wouldn't have done the same (again discrediting me with no factual basis) instead deciding to post another shit anecdote about how good a fan and a bloke you are by helping the community (building a shed for a christian donkey or giving half your mince pie to a Sunderland fan)

For the observers, I know, meltdown, etc but nah, I'm not taking that like. Claiming you knew a backstreet bookie who'll run a betting ring like a 20s gangster, man. What a whopper  Guess I'll find him sitting in the back of a Speakeasy with a nod and a wink, aye? Or in the window of The Victory after paying my 50p to get in to speak to some kind of Sunderland Marlon Brando?

tl:dr, meltdown, bitter mag, championship, etc

I'm well aware of what time I have typed this (obsessed mag on RTG, etc) but I've woken up during the night and had to read that drivel and now I have subjected to whomever reads this now to the same, soz.

Unreal noise when Defoe scored against Chealsea last season
Mates a Chealsea fan and was there that day and said he aint heard noise like that before when Defoe scored

I'm posting my honest opinion ..... only a f***ing idiot would care about 'likes'.

I don't give a shiny shite what you, or anyone else on here, thinks about me.

Now, either contribute to the thread topic or fuck off and stop staking me you f***ing dim-witted troll.

Edit: Jardine and another duck knacker just 'liked' your post
Funny how you're always the victim.

And you have this 'thing' about posters 'stalking' you.

Curious.

Yes, it was me. Remember it well. Even thought your a mag. You're speaking sense here.

I only say that when people repeatedly come onto my threads, completely ignore the topic and have an infantile pop at me ......

.... oops, you did it again

Edit: And here's your little Mag pal straight on here again first thing having been on here all night

No its not.
Its a "Lets talk about something that'll bring back happy memories and cheer us up" thread.

If you don't like it, go joon a miserable thread.
Look at who the Op is then you may wish readjust your viewpoint.

Last night he was claiming he was personally responsible for us staying up thanks to the power of his positive thinking.

The FA will be doubly rueing getting the wrong man in Allardyce when they read that.

Not what you said in your pm's on the matter at the time

I know. Thats what it looked like at the time. In retrospect though, he did agree to it to be told no. You were haooy to transfer it and he wasn't. Fair play to you for that.

I do agree with his reasons not too though, initially anyway. In retrospect anyway.

I offered him the choice of any bookie of his choice .... it's all there on the thread and I still have all your pm's.

I gave him, as you'll recall, until midnight but he 'fell asleep' and replied at 2.30am
