It seems you think there's a magical portal that you pass through once you're relegated, stripping you of any quality you may previously have had. The team that fields Player A is relegated, therefore Player A is not good enough for the Premier League regardless of context. Player B currently plies his trade for a team in the Premier League, therefore Player B is Premier League standard regardless of context.
By your rationale Ritchie isn't good enough for the Premier League despite being a regular starter for Bournemouth in 15/16 and being far too good for the Championship in 16/17. But Abel Hernandez is good enough for the Premier League because he plays there currently.
And if that's the logic and if you were to be relegated, your star players would pass through that same portal and suddenly become "not good enough for the Premier League". By your logic.

You're missing the point, you think that players will walk away from long term lucrative contracts to sign for another club on less wages, that simply won't happen.I think a Champo club would have the likes of Murphy for example, if not yous seem to think as ive said that we give a shite about money lost on players, it happens all the time would you not agree?
Hes a quality manager with a proven track record of doing well.
He took over the club at a very low point after the back to back ineptitude of Pardew, Carver and McClaren, the damage was done before he arrived and it took longer than the short time we had but changes were happening, hence the 6 game unbeaten run in the final 6 games of the season, sometimes it just doesn't work out in football, and this was one of those times, It's pretty typical on here to says its all his fault though of course the manager has to be accountable in some way, but in this instance I'd say he did his best but was brought in just a little too late.
We've got a good squad and hes doing well, funny though how now its a poor league when before we started the season we had the same people saying "he has no championship experience" and "its a tough league to get out of".
Yes its the championship but we are rebuilding under a manager with a proven track record of success, with a great coaching team. Most importantly has managed to bring together the fans with the club once again and has absolutely everyone pulling in the same direction, even Ashley & Charnley it seems for the moment are on board and are believed to be ready to spend some good money should we come back up, Rafa would not have signed the deal otherwise.
At the end of the day its Mike Ashley, things could still go tits up, but we've got the best manager we've had since Robson and things are looking up, I'd wager Rafa will have us doing well next season, should we achieve promotion, which is looking close to nailed on at the moment.

No I wouldn't.You'd give your right bollock to be in our position
Nice bodyswerve.Shite grammar again, Neil.
You are the one droaning on about some mythical portal.
If it does exist your manager never even had to pass through it to become shit.
Well done.
Is being in the Championship due to not being good enough for the Premier League?
Totally agree with this.No I wouldn't.
I'm enjoying the football, I'm enjoying the atmosphere around the club, I'm looking forward to Saturdays, and I'm looking forward to cup games. Can you honestly say the same?
A season with Benitez in the Championship is, by orders of magnitude, better than a season under McClaren struggling to survive in the Premier League.
Nice bodyswerve.
The club is in the 16/17 Championship because the team assembled by Steve McClaren and his predecessors over several transfer windows failed to record more points than 3 other sides over 38 Premier League games in the 15/16 season.
Totally agree with this.
Surely , as a supporter, these are the things that matter most.
His job was to keep them up which he failed to do. It's a bizarre scenario.
No blame for Rafa? None at all? Despite there being ten games/thirty whole points to play for?
All of this he didn't have enough time shit doesn't wash with us, as we have been there with worse squads and supposedly worse managers, with less time and tougher opposition to play, and we never went down.
Tufty and co. are partly to blame, yes. That also includes the fat hasbeen, like it or not.
For supporters, yes. Not for the good of the club, though.
Anyway, you will be back there soon enough, so let us know.![]()
Well , i presume that's what he was meaning when he said he was now looking forward to Saturdays - which is surely what's it's all about.
And yes , we may well be back in the championship soon enough - but so may you !
It is what it is i'm afraid - if we go down we go down - wont drastically affect my life.
He won't lay any blame at Bentitez' door and it is solely because he is a big name. It is pathetic how all that club cares about, top to bottom is that they are seen to be relevant.
Desperate to elbow their way into the limelight.
We all know that is the sole reason they fawn over the fat Spanish failure.
Yes, we very well may be and no it won't drastically affect my life, either. If we do, it won't be following a solitary season after years in the wilderness, though.
