It's just asking for a decent manager to come in and build them into a side capable of challenging the top 4. Much more chance of achieving that (and the money that comes with it) there than he'd have at Newcastle who will no doubt retain their current transfer policy.

What do you mean? We've spent the most money this league has ever seen, I read so on here (despite what the books actually say) :lol:

You obviously make such a sweeping statement from a neutral's point of view. A neutral who knows little about him either on a personal or managerial level. Considering the absolute cack, shambles of a set-up he inherited I'd say he's done a pretty decent job so far.

Maybes you're right. But It's amazing what spending vast amounts can do for rectifying such 'shambles'. That's been the blueprint of his managerial career. That and inheriting decent squads.

Chelsea he took them over and they finished only 3rd quite a way off Man United who won the league
Went in with the Mags when he could have kept them up but took them down.

Hardly a glittering career CV in England. Dare I say it, he's rather overrated and his achievements have been somewhat glorified,

You could easily argue he has failed at every job he's had after Liverpool. Inter, Chelsea, Napoli, Real Madrid but he's won a few cups which glosses over it.

Ripping the Championship apart with their multimillion pound team. Proof if ever there was he is a World Class Manager. Hasn't allowed the weight of the famous no.9 shirt to be too much for his striker either, which must have been a job in itself.

Your current policy of funding your signings by selling. You have spent a lot recently but it's pretty much been covered by a couple of huge sales. With the money west ham can make from their stadium (especially taking into account the corporate side) they shouldn't need to have these worries that almost all other clubs have and wouldn't need to always buy young purely with a sell on in mind
