He was chairman at the time Byrne fcked up. She took a dive to take the heat out the situation. How much he knew - well publicly she says he didnt know a thing.

10th highest net spenders but an abysmal transfer policy. Spends late in windows and spreads the investment across a string of squad players.
Net result - tonnes of shite with a large turnover and a team still clinging onto some of the Bruce signings to stay afloat.

9 managers - Keane, Sbragia, Bruce, O'Neil, Di Canio, Poyet, Advocaat, Allardyce, Moyes.

He barely gets any criticism, because he removes himself from every situation and shifted the blame onto his managers as a result. He's been nowhere to be seen this season.

Guess work there and assumptions. No one can argue our transfer policy isn't abysmal, but without knowing the ins and outs of transfer dealings, more guess work and assumptions. He doesn't tell managers to spend 6m on mcnair and love, 8m on a defender who has played 1minute for Chelsea or break our transfer record, yes that reads right, on an unknown midfielder from France. I haven't read 9 managers "slating" the way the clubs ran. De fanti was an odd appointment, but congerton was highly rated. Either way, it didn't work and neither of them are here. He scrapped it for allardyce, who like almost all managers, the majority were very happy with shorts choice. Not a single fan can say he is blameless, the league our struggles and financial situation tells its own story, bit to just say it's all his fault is very unfair and blinkered imo. Like I say, I firmly believe he's tried to make us better and ways had the best interests of the club at heart. For that, this protest stuff and other criticism, I just don't agree with and have said that from the off.

Pretty much. The bloke can't win. Thought experiment: Imagine having twenty million quid and entrusting someone with it to buy two players to take your team to the next level, and with it they buy one player who atleast on paper has a good pedigree but turns out to be say, Jack Rodwell and another with an equally good pedigree who turns out to be a f***ing idiot and through no fault of your own ends up getting himself jailed as a sex offender. You've effectively lost twenty million quid and aren't any further forward, while you've done everything you reasonably could. People don't appreciate what now effectively amounts to futile philanthropy and think you should fuck off. How do you feel?

Congerton was a fraud. He wasnt even successful at Hamburg. The Frank Arneson project he was part of there achieved nothing. The owners got sick and kicked them all out.

Who else do you blame? There's reasons for everything yes but one common denominator.

Then ask why SAFC is his only business that runs at a loss. Purposefully so? Possibly.
Then ask why he has the entire club hamstrung under his total financial control plus no one else will buy us due to the debt.

Also listen to what people have said about the nature of our player purchases. They're all done on tick. A lot of deals are. But ours are on long long payback periods.

We've only paid £1m for Papy up front. Thats why we bought him.
The Ndong deal suited because its likely on a long installment. We're still paying for Borini. I don't think that deal is finished paying for until next summer.

Are you Margaret Byne or another previous member of the board room? You seem to know a lot about the dealings of the board, what goes on behind closed doors and has an axe to grind against Short.

The blame is a clusterfuck of numerous people, that has gradually got worse and left us where we are. Our problems all come down to one thing for me and that's spending big on players and no return from them. That's not shorts fault. Anyway mate, its obvious we won't agree on this, so I'll just carry on with my few drinks and enjoy back to back wins.

I haven't an axe to grind. But the body of evidence is damning. In my view.

It was aimed at the ones who slag tthe club off at every opportunity. You're certainly not one of them
