He was chairman at the time Byrne fcked up. She took a dive to take the heat out the situation. How much he knew - well publicly she says he didnt know a thing.Actually I'll have a go
- ridiculous to blame him for the actions of another person on that.
- 10th highest net spenders, tells me that shouldn't happen.
- from Ferdinand to Fletcher and lens, backing managers with decent money, certainly enough for us to be competitive, to turn see those players leave for next to nowt, no wonder the debt has racked up, all the while, still making 30m available in the summer
- 9 managers? must have missed that
- millions wasted, so he tried something that has worked at other clubs. Yes it failed, so he'll be to blame there, but he had to try something and people he employed were highly rated elsewhere.
Obviously and mistakes have been made, doesn't take a genius to see that. But still believe he has the best interests of the club at heart and gets unfair criticism.
There ya gan. Typed while you were waiting.
10th highest net spenders but an abysmal transfer policy. Spends late in windows and spreads the investment across a string of squad players.
Net result - tonnes of shite with a large turnover and a team still clinging onto some of the Bruce signings to stay afloat.
9 managers - Keane, Sbragia, Bruce, O'Neil, Di Canio, Poyet, Advocaat, Allardyce, Moyes.
His DoF appointments were hilarious.
He barely gets any criticism, because he removes himself from every situation and shifted the blame onto his managers as a result. He's been nowhere to be seen this season.
Arsenal didn't just give us a beating. They humiliated us. And the players (not all) looked like they couldn't care less at being humiliated.I wasn't and loads I know weren't. I actually thought it was possible Arsenal might give us a beating. I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest Liverpool might possibly do the same. It happens. Back-to-back wins occasionally happen and even Pickford clean sheets can be added.
We are not clear of trouble and it might get a lot worse. We are not relegated either.
I'm going to enjoy the rest of the weekend, enjoy match of the day and wish @Mrjardine and family all the best with the new arrival.
