Aye I was there, and there were thousands more Sunderland fans - and hundreds were arriving and leaving every hour. I was surprised at how hostile some of the jocks were - not as cuddly as I'd heard they were.

The ones I came across on the drink round Holborn were canny and not a pick of bother. Can't be sure how it went when they got off the tube at Baker St straight onto a platform full of baseball caps & Stone Island, might have got a bit more lively.

Last minute goal disallowed, wasn't offside either. One of the worst misses I've ever seen in my life at 0-0, absolutely incredible  f***ing freezing as well.

I considered going down myself marra but decided against it, see it was a full house as well! Yeah I seen on the Darlo FB page, saying they had no idea why it was disallowed!

Fylde will take some catching, postive Danny Rowe is already nearing 25 goals for the season!

Remember though we were taking over Covent Garden at about 2 pm on the Saturday, 26 hrs before the match kicked off.

I got the first text through with photos of it building up when we were driving down. That was before 12pm

I was in an Italian just off the Strand at 2ish and could hear "Oh Vito Mannone" getting louder and louder, then the doors opened and about ten of our lads serenaded everyone with it.

Thought it was 4 pm. What time was it ?

Gonna guess at half one or two pm.

I remember we had barely left the coach park by 7pm due to the traffic issues afterwards though.
Three fcuking hours stuck in Wembley after that heartbreak man.
12:53am when we finally got dropped off on Houghton Cut
6am alarm call that morning for work

They were pretty poor to be honest, worst team I've seen at Darlington this year. Although it was quite clear in the second half they were quite happy to sit back and take a point which is understandable and fair enough, keeps a decent gap at the top. Rowe has 95 goals since he signed for them two year ago  he was great in the first half, his goal wasn't half bad either.

Lost track of the time. Had a pint in a pub next to Wembley tube station after the game then got tube to St Pancras where I met my wife and daughter. We Had a drink there paid for by a City fan then got a taxi back to Covent Garden and got locked in the Nags Head. Great night in there, you'd have thought we'd won the cup!
Stayed in Swiss Cottage that night, drove back Monday.

Had a bit of a look at the Jocks yesterday - no contest

Well bearing in mind people were respectfully asked not to go to Trafalgar square and probably around 12,000 adhered to it.
Other than missing out the little bit of info crack on.

Right place - wrong time. Just turned up with Mrs Bresslaw & the bairn when this group of lads from Grimsby unfurled an england flag right next to us. The jocks started hoying bottles and cans, I got hit on the leg - bottle just missed my head, a glass landed a couple of feet from Mrs Bresslaw.
Mind the Grimsby lads were unperturbed - laughing as they lifted their skirts and showed their nobs.

The day before the cup final we went to walk about Leicester Square at dinner time to make sure we went easy on the drink.
Saw a load of the lads outside the first pub we walked past, chocka of sunlund fans! That was the end of the taking it easy

Favourite memory of that night was a rickshaw driver been goaded into going faster by a group of lads hanging off it singing "oh Vito Mannone"
