Not a piss take but we did actually just burst out laughing.

The atmosphere was class and we just thought "typical Sunderland" and got on with it.

Class day out that. Our fans as they so often are, were spectacular. I remember them playing We Will Rock You before the game and all our fans joining in (it was our run out music at the time).

19th may 1977, Everton away, both Everton goals. First time in my life I experienced injustice and felt cheated. Not because we lost the match, but the circumstances surrounding it.
 
Toure & Nasri in the final for me. I had a level head from Man U away thinking we'll most likely lose but its okay as long as we play well, it was a dream come true going to Wembley to see Sunderland in a cup final.

But being 1-0 at HT changed it and i thought it was our day :( we did play well but City were better
 
The late equaliser at Old Trafford in the 2-2 under Bruce. We played so well that day.

The late winner at Old Trafford the game after Keane left us. Gutted.

The late goals at Old Trafford under Wilkinson when we lost 2-1.

At the time for me it was Ameobi for the mags at their place the year Bendtner scored. Hadn't beaten them there in years, 1-0 up and holding on with 10 men and he scores in the 91st minute. Seeing them celebrate that draw was sickening.

What's happened since has given me some closure thankfully
 
Far too many for us over the years. The most heartbreaking ones usually involve us getting an equaliser late on, only for the other team to score with the last kick of the game.

Everton 2 - 3 Liverpool (2001)

We were 2-1 down and they got a pen. Fowler missed it and then we got given one down the other end with 10 mins to go which David Unsworth scored. Gary McAllister then scored a 45 yard freekick in the fourth minute of injury time. To make things worse, they had 10 men :lol:. Our penalty is at 2:40.

Everton 3 - 4 Man United (2004)

0-3 down in the first half. Got it back to 3-3 on 75 minutes, only for van Nistelrooy to win it for them with a minute remaining. Their 4th is at 22:30.

Everton 2 - 3 Aston Villa (2008)

Another painful one was Ashley Young when Villa were a decent side back in 2008. Lescott equalised in the 90th minute for us to make it 2-2, and then from the kick off Young scored with the last kick of the game.

Bournemouth 3 - 3 Everton (2016)

If you listen to Motson's commentary he even says that the Barkley goal was in the 95th minute and there was 5 minutes added time. The fact that fans spilled on to the pitch should have only delayed the restart of the game, not added a further 3 minutes on. Stanislas scored in the 98th minute. Watch from 4:30.

Adam Johnson scoring for Man City in the 90th minute at the SoL in about 2010? We'd taken an early lead through Jones and had defended like heroes ever since. We'd been on a long winless run at the time.

A proper kick in the knackers that.

A similar game was a year earlier against Spurs. Richardson gave us a 1-0 lead after about 90 seconds and I think Robbie Keane equalised in the 89th minute.
