She was appointed Club Secretary in 2007 under Quinn's watch then appointed CEO in 2011 under Short's watch. She should never have been given that position, had absolutely zero experience of running a multi million pound business and she was effectively learning on the job, the way she dealt with the Di Canio fiasco still sends chivers down my spine, so far out of her depth it's untrue.
Ji's paperwork cock up and letting contracts run down did it for me. We lost about £10m and nearly got relegated on those alone

Then buying Jonah Rodwell as a replacement for another £10m which could have been most damaging decision of all

Instead he's nowhere to be seen. In St Tropez. Whilst his millionaire 'assets' trudge around Nissan in their tracksuits.

Really?

I'd be appalled if he was in St Tropez ...... no one with any class goes there in November!

SWhat Mad Bob said.

Call me naive but I like my football chairman to at least try and look interested.

If by some miracle we stay up, I'm sure he'll resurface next pre season to join in the banter.

Roy Keane should give him a call.

I don't believe anyone has made those comments until you just did ...... certainly not me, in fact, someone called me a part time fan.

So you posted absolute nonsense tbh.
I think if you read all the comments the above is pretty much implied about anyone who wants to protest. Not necessarily by you at me. My point is why are people so dismissive and insulting of other fans wanting to voice their disapproval of how the club has been ran. If they don't agree fine but don't try to belittle people who do.

Fancy having a protest at the Murray gates. Bob would know all about pissing off supporters. get yasel to a diy shop and buy some taps to take with you. we need unity not this bollocks

Because what some fans do, portrays the rest. Protests and the likes, when many don't agree, makes us all look the same and does nothing but put an even more negative vibe around the club. Many don't want that, but it will happen if this protest took place.

Haway man ffs ...... implied, who implied inbred or imbecile?

The so called 'protesters' have been quite insulting themselves haven't they?

I'm entitled to post my opinion which is that the OP loves posting these 'Let's all rise up lads we've had enough,' threads whereas in reality all he ever does is whinge on the Internet.

Other people have said much worse than me but, for your own reasons, you chose me to respond to.

An even better idea would be to hang outside the Murray gates and ask Short for his signature. If you kiss his feet enough he might buy you and all the lads a beer?

That's half your problem, you seem to think it's a binary decision - he's either great or Satan. in the real world he's neither, and picking one extreme to justify it guarantees you'll get little support.

Keane said there was something wrong.
Poyet said there was something wrong.
Dick said there was something wrong

Common denominator is O'shea, Cattermole or Ellis Short.

Only Poyet said there was "something wrong", unless you can provide any quotes to prove otherwise?

Because you are trying to speak for everyone and you haven't got everyone's support. Social media is not the real world. Short is trying to sell the club so this protest will achieve the square root of fcuk all and give sensible Sunderland fans a bad name. If you want to behave like spoilt Barins go and support the mags. Half the people backing this on here are mags anyway.

I could but I ain't going searching, I'm sure it's commonly known otherwise how the fuck do I know about them? I take notice of nowt

Because people keep repeating the same bullshit - repeat something often enough and it becomes the truth.

IIRC, Keane states in his book that he resigned because Short rang him up to discuss our poor performances and he seen it as the owner interfering. Do you think it was unreasonable for the owner to want to find out what was going on?

Poyet said there was "something wrong, but he didn't know what", because he had ran out of ideas and was looking for an excuse for his crap performance, IMO. If there was "something wrong", just come out and say what it is ffs!

Advocaat stated that "the owner never said how much money was available", and was also reportedly pissed of because Congerton bought Matthews against his wishes. This is Congerton who is no longer at the club.

Time to tell Short that he needs to go. I think all of us are sad that it has come to this but it's becoming increasingly clear that he's mismanaged the club to the point where relegation isn't our biggest worry - financial solvency is.

We've been through it all before but he's repeatedly left managers feeling their hands are tied and has made awful decisions that leave us in a perilous position.

Protesting may not help - but it's about time he hears the frustration of the support. It could well result in him acting - he wants rid of the club and is holding out for a higher price. Action might result in him dropping that price enough to get the sale through so we can rebuild for next year.

Let's keep it outside the stadium - the last things the players need is a hostile atmosphere when they're presumably low on confidence as it is, but I for one do not want to sit on my hands until the end of the season, knowing all that we do now about the mismanagement of the club, having done nothing.

The fans are the one real thing that matter to me about this club, and I'm sick of us being misled and manipulated by an owner who clearly has no interest anymore in our success.

Jesus Wept.

What a f***ing embarrassment.

Shame all clubs have them.

Didn't realise Southampton had a DOF tbh. There you go then, they have been excellent in the transfer market, so no wonder short tried to copy that.

Did short choose what players to sign for millions, who then left for nowt? does short pick the team, go over tactics, or lack of, does short tell them to hoof the ball at Defoes head, does he organise training? People go on about short being the constant. I'll tell you what else is constant, from the first signing we made under him Anton Ferdinand 9m, to Fletcher 12m, he's backed mangers to sign players for millions, to see them leave for nowt or next to nowt year after year, bar the odd one. That's going to catch up with anyone sooner or later, yet he still managed to back the manager with 30m in the summer and guess what, looks like it's been wasted again. De fanti and congerton, he tried to stop money being wasted, it didn't work and we don't have a DOF anymore. We've spent money on the squad since then and are worse.
Steady on mate dont let the truth get in the way of some of the bedwetting idiots on here.

Iirc it wasn't that Short rang him up, it was something to do with how he went about it that griped Keane

There have been issues - different ones, throughout Shorts rein. The main one being the DoF structure which didn't work out and Short scrapped it.

There is "something wrong" at the moment - the debt, which is a compounding of the previous mistakes. This may mean that Moyes did not get as much money as he thought he needed in the summer. The money he did get should still have been enough to at least have us in touching distance of the clubs in the relegation battle, i.e. around 8-9 points.

It's not a simple as saying "Short is the problem".

Iirc it wasn't that Short rang him up, it was something to do with how he went about it that griped Keane
Short - "Howdy Roy, why have you spent a load of money on players and we are still getting beat every week?"

Keane - "Feck this, I've just about had enough of your interfering, so I have. I quit."
