Ellis Short has appointed a manager and it hasn't worked out, everything was looking ok 5 months ago no one wanted Ellis to leave then, i want him to sack David Moyes and at least try to save our season rather than accept relegation with Moyes,i'll not be protesting though.

I did mate. I think Short has been poor for years.

Not acting like Mags is a laudable ambition. And remind me, who owns Newcastle United? How did that protest go?
Haven't you noticed they completely effected change in the entire way Ashley runs NUFC?

The last time this was mooted on here the club had the bloke against the wall, wanted to know names, numbers plans etc. Iirc his detail were passed over to the polis and he had his collar felt.
Def someone in here, in the end he said it wasn't worth it as the club were going to Pin any trouble on him as the protest organiser.

I am being serious. I genuinely think some folk thrive off being hard-done-by. Same people would whinge if we were successful and started filling the stadium with tourists.

"wish we were still shite so we only had proper fans" type attitude.

Just my opinion. :)

It's a shit opinion imo.

Time to tell Short that he needs to go. I think all of us are sad that it has come to this but it's becoming increasingly clear that he's mismanaged the club to the point where relegation isn't our biggest worry - financial solvency is.

We've been through it all before but he's repeatedly left managers feeling their hands are tied and has made awful decisions that leave us in a perilous position.

Protesting may not help - but it's about time he hears the frustration of the support. It could well result in him acting - he wants rid of the club and is holding out for a higher price. Action might result in him dropping that price enough to get the sale through so we can rebuild for next year.

Let's keep it outside the stadium - the last things the players need is a hostile atmosphere when they're presumably low on confidence as it is, but I for one do not want to sit on my hands until the end of the season, knowing all that we do now about the mismanagement of the club, having done nothing.

The fans are the one real thing that matter to me about this club, and I'm sick of us being misled and manipulated by an owner who clearly has no interest anymore in our success.
I'll knock up a red and white striped coffin this weekend. Do you have a velvet suit?

You mean agaisnt modern football fans? Thought you championed that marra ? ;)

I don't like the idea of tourists coming to watch Sunderland but if that's the consequence for success then so be it. Many others would rather just stay shit so they can whinge down the pub but then claim they're spending 12 hours on a bus for Bournemouth away and they must be mental.

This is the main problem.

This isn't Bob Murray and a few local business man.

This is a billionaire who gambles in high stakes markets. Who nearly went to prison in Korea. Who operates a huge profile football club with vested interests to protect.

We have a board of directors who run the club as their personal empire. They have a seat at every quango and committee in the city. One of them, so legend goes, had every copy of a photo of him at St James Park that was being circulated amongst the staff hunted out and destroyed.

You've seen 3 fights in the last 2 home games?

More than anyone else I've seen posting on here ..... yet you never mentioned it before.

Yes Rev. I have seen 3 fights. I have now said this many times. If you don't want to accept it , then don't. It hasn't really crossed my mind before really but this thread about discontent , had brought it back to my attention.
