I agree on the making options for passes as think we are far too static and lack movement off the ball to provide people with options and yes we are somewhat one dimensional but you simply can't ignore we are currently judging it on two different league levels, now whilst it doesn't cover everything it has to at least be a part of any considerations.

As I said none of those mentioned barely performed any better in the Premier League than what we currently have, Ritchie who I think is a dangerous player was jettisoned by Bournemouth, Shelvey, Colback and Perez were all part of a Newcastle team that was relegated, yes they are clearly enjoying their football at the moment and why wouldn't they, top of the league, cup quarter finals, winning games and clearly brimming with confidence which is a massive thing in football, but in my opinion I don't actually think if chucked into our current predicament that they would be able to make that much more of an impact in the premier league than our current crop are.

I wasn't necessarily saying that some of them wouldn't be better options just simply stating I didn't think they were 'no brainers' but fair enough if you would take them in a heartbeat then that is your opinion.

Don't know about Kone, he's looked suspect in a quite a few games, but I'd have to see him more often and not just make judgements based on the occasions I've seen you on tv (highlights or otherwise).

It's a bit daft to think all players in the Premier League are better than all players in the Championship by virtue of being in a higher league. Especially as it's simply because you've a bias against your local rivals. Your support of sunderland shouldn't be defined by your criticism of Newcastle.

Both fit and on form Kirchhoff and Kone would start in most premier league teams from 8th downwards. They'd be your best players by miles. Shelvey is chod.
 
In one respect I'd like to draw them and beat them just to get them to shut the fuck up for a few weeks but on the flip side of the coin I'm not sure if I'd trust our present group of players to go and beat them and it would be unbearable if the worst was to happen.

If you make a team up of the bottom 8 squads i dont think either would get in personally, only defoe would get in.

Get Cattermole, Kirchoff and Borini back and we'd beat them comfortably IMO. It'd be tougher as things stand (relying on the likes of Rodwell, Watmore, Pienaar etc) but I still wouldn't be scared of playing them. They're still not very good.
 
Imagine thinking the mags, a team whose best players couldn't cut it in the premiership, and took them down, could beat us :lol:

Obviously you see them more than I do, but I can't see many sides that either would start for. Kirchoff can't play longer than 60 minutes and Kone has a mistake in him. Maybe sides like Boro or Burnley, but certainly not Southampton, Leicester, West Ham, West Brom, Stoke, Palace...
