You'll have to remind me how Norwich have done transfer-wise to end up better than £30m in the black.

I get your point fwiw just dafties who come on and say what do you expect with £50m to spend? They'll be the same ones who were saying we'd struggle.

It's no good just throwing money at it with any fuckwit in charge. Look at Aston Villa.

 Really?

The players you made profit on were not signed by Benitez.

Pardew signed Janmat and Sissoko yet your lot said he was a poor manager despite him going to Wembley and still being in the premier league.
Wijnaldum was signed by McClaren whos goals earned him his move not Benitez.

Even with the recouping of fees nearly every relegated team makes a profit based on fees, however the loss of premier league turnover means you arent 30m in the black. You will make very little profit if any on Benitezs signings, only one I see move for decent profit being Hayden. Already 3m plus Wages on Murphy looks wasted. You use Villa as an example but I bet Bruce has them in the playoffs.

Mags have made most profit in league so have spent least but will have highest wage bill. You'd expect them to come back up but Norwich have kept the same team without chopping and changing as much so have some continuity.

Villa also threw money at it so shows that money doesn't guarantee you success in this league.

My worry is that when we go down we won't come straight back up. People are calling it a shit tin pot league etc but I guarantee 100% we will struggle in this league next year, wonder whether the same people will still be posting the same thing next year

Thats because we know Short wont spend. See how much the pro Short club spin that one.

Thinking Pardew and McClaren had any say in signing those players

You've massively missed my point about Villa btw.

You said spending money doesnt guarantee Success, Bruce will be a success at Villa despite being a very very average manager. So no I didnt miss the point at all.

Irrelvant if they had no say, you sacked Graham Carr as well, Benitez had nothing to do with you recouping fees and your drop in turnover and your wage bill will see a minimal profit if any, not 30m in the black

No it doesn't. My point was di Matteo threw a shit load of money at it and was terrible. Bruce is a far better manager. That was my point, the whole 'he spent £50m what do you expect' when Villa are the proof against that argument.

I never said Benitez signed those players and I'll have to go with your intimate knowledge of Newcastle's wage bill as I'm not sure either way...

Clearly these players that left were on less wages than the players that came in if you think that £30m is going to get eaten in to and not compensated by a possible drop in the annual wage bill due to the players that have left.

He's spent an absolute mint in a shite league. Any manager worth their salf would have them top of the league.

I've seen them a few times and the football was shite.

Im not expert but you are being extremely naive with that terrible post.

Di Matteo signed some bloody good players, hes just an awful manager. Bruce is a good championship manager/poor premier league manager. Villa are not proof against this argument as since Bruce has come in theyve won 2 on the bounce and will win most of their games till the end of the season because the money theyve spent has made them in the top 3 sides in the league.

I have no knowledge of the wage bill, but your signings were for big money, with big money signings comes agent fees, signing on fees plus wage increases. Richie will have taken a higher wage, same as Gayle and Murphy. Also your big signings out played in financially poor leagues. Wijinaldum signed from the Eredivisie, Sissoko for a whopping 2.5m in France, Janmat Eredivisie. They wont have been on massive money as they were relatively unknowns when you signed them.

Add the fact that you did not have relegation release drops in Shelveys contract meaning you are paying premier league wages to the majority of the squad on Championship income, of course you havent made profit, you dont need to see the players contracts or accounts to summarise that.

Head in the sand springs to mind.

By making £30m quid in 3 months? It's just getting ridiculous now like. The blatant lies that people just automatically believe without a second thought. It's now become a comfort blanket for some, it's embarrassing.
Who gives a fuck what you think.

I'm explaining my point again as you're still missing it.

On the wages front are you wilfully ignoring shifting the likes of Coloccini, Cisse, Townsend and Taylor from the wage bill?

Yes I'm not saying he hasn't done very well selling players but it's no surprise you are top of the league you already had players at the club shelvey Perez lascelles gouffron etc who are very good championship players added to that the money he has spent compared to most championship managers.

Just look at the Norwich manager he has done just a good a job with less money to spend

he didn't buy them and he didn't sell them.

You didnt shift Townsend, you only signed him in January man

Aye they were all big earners but you still have:

Krul
Mbemba
Shelvey
Colback
Perez
Haidara
Anita
Tiote

Earning premier league wages on a championship income, without any of the new wages added via new signings. No championship club can sustain the wages of those players.

In one breath you say the likes of Sissoko, Janmaat and Wijnaldum wouldn't have been high earners because they came from Ligue 1 and the Eredivisie but then cite the likes of Mbemba (Jupiler league) Perez (Segunda Liga), Haidara (Ligue 1), Anita (Eredivisie) and Tiote (Eredivisie) as high earners.

That's despite the three you dismiss as not being high earners having a number of international caps to their name. Far more than the 'high earners' you suggest we are still lumbered with (Tiote excepted)

Make your mind up.

They werent big wages in comparison to the premier league is what I meant, as those players were signed in the premier league. As soon as a relegation takes place, players of 8m plus will be on too big money to play in the championship.

Perez signed a lucrative new contract just this summer, hes hardly on a Segunda liga wage now is he. You also gave Tiote a new deal as well so he wont be on Eredivisie wages.

Sissoko Wijnaldum and Janmat will have been on buttons for the average premier league wage, when you go down they are soon the top earners in that division. It isnt my fault if you cant gather a simple fact that the wage players are on are relative to a clubs turnover and your clubs turnover will be very small this season. Add to the fact that Ashley has yet to break even on his initial investment also, so while the club maybe be making "profit" you are still a good 90m in debt to Mike Ashley.
