To the toon
A Spanish waiter came
He was invited there by a London spiv
And Rafa was his name

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Rafa the Jaffa etc etc

To the tune of Nellie The Elephant.

I reckon the SMB wordsmiths can do the rest.

The best thing for me about their start is that they totally expected to walk the league and their fans fully bought in to them just needing to turn up and results would take care of themselves. Oh, and the myth that playing at home would somehow destroy the resolve of the minnow away teams was quickly squashed.

I havent seen them this season, so can anyone advise whether they are playing good football or not?

love this  bang on.
I've got to listen to Turtle Spurt tonite and see if they dare go on about 'wake up calls' again!
one more defeat for them and it's going to be a fully blown crisis - roll on Wednesday

I've just heard one of them at work say the reason they lost is because the fans were too good and too loud.

It scared the players as most aren't used to playing infront of that many people that are that passionate.

I was f***ing gobsmacked.

Yeah I'm sure it scared the players. Huddersfield Town are used to 80,000 idiots every week chanting about Sports Direct they were in their comfort zone

Jaffa is a saying meaning a person who is seedless, as in Jaffa oranges, so rafa the Jaffa would actually be "rafa hasn't got any seeds", hasn't got much of a ring to it (sorry Harrogate mackem on another thread).

More like rafa the knacker, cos he is one and he's got them playing like a set of knackers etc etc, if we have to call him by any names at all.

You are very correct in the meaning @roppa, and metaphorically speaking I refer to seeds as being points in the league in which his club are currently playing.

That said, seedless in this case means he's got no points! Firing blanks.

I wrongly thought it was self-explanatory!

Seriously ........... what would happen if Newcastle just keep on losing?

who will they blame????

Rafa - no chance
Ashley - be difficult seeing as they have spent over £100m on players in the last 12 months (the fact that it's been pissed down the drain on shite isn't his fault)
Charnley and Carr - probably the easiest targets

I had everything crossed that they would start like this, it's absolutely brilliant! :D

It was said, on endless occasions, that Benitez would come in and organise the team, give the players confidence and greatly improve the football.
I even recall posts on here saying 'That's it, we're fucked'.

When he relegated them, by failing to beat Sunderland, Norwich or Villa, it was stated that he hadn't had enough time ...
.... just a couple more games were needed according to Dawnie when they were relegated by Sunderland.

Now he's had a close season, total control of the club, brought in his own players, had his '2 more games' and they're still rotten.

His record now absolutely stinks and is probably worse than McClaren's.

Failure to win on Wednesday or at Bristol City on Saturday and even the Chronicle will have to admit he's only 'world class' in some people's minds, including his own.

They will continue to blame Adam Johnson, of course.

They'll absolutely batter Reading on Wednesday night and not lose a game until the end of the season, bookmark this!....skinchies.
