Well I've just been informed by a Mag that they've now strengthened their squad as Ritchie is the better player. Townsend is too predictable.

These fuckers really are just too much at times.
 
Can't blame him, he worked his balls off when he was here, left with little fuss. Not going to lose any sleep over it though. He was good for us, and his one trick worked f***ing brilliantly, unfortunately the clause in his contract meant that any serious interest would see him go. Be interested to see how he fits into Pardew's style though. Likes his wingers to provide a lot of defensive cover and reliable service to a target man. Andros liked to drive down the wing, cut inside and take a shot. Like I said, one trick, but fuck me, when it works... what a trick it is. :lol:

Expect Krul, Sissoko, Wijnaldum and probably Janmaat to be off too. I'd like to see Cisse & Tiote go. But at least it looks like Benitez is trying to get stuff sorted early, which is a relief.

Like him me, good player. A lot of "one trick pony" shite going about but he has more in his locker and can actually change games with his directness. If cutting inside and taking a shot is working, why change it? Worked for the Mags and previous to them. We had Johnson doing much the same here (and at Man City).

Glad he has left Newcastle. We should have been in for him from the off.

    I’d like to put on record my sincerest thanks to the manager, board and fans of Newcastle United for the warmth and support they have shown me since I joined in January. Please believe me when I say that this has been an incredibly difficult decision and one I have not taken lightly.
    I signed for Newcastle fully aware of the task at hand and it was my absolute desire to keep the club in the Premier League. I hope the fans could see that from day one I gave everything I possibly could during the season and never once gave up on the fight for survival. That’s why it was so hard when despite those efforts we fell short.
    The future for Newcastle is very bright, with some great young players and an outstanding Manager who I have the utmost respect for. However, after talking at length with the Manager and Managing Director I have made the decision to leave the club based purely on footballing reasons, with my wish to remain in the Premier League.
    I remain humbled by the support of the fans during my time at Newcastle and wish everyone associated with the club success for the future. The fans deserve a winning team and I fully expect to see the club promoted back to the Premier League at the first attempt. Thank You.
