What set of fans anywhere in the UK of a club the size of Newcastle would attempt to spin relegation as something they are pleased about ? You hounded out a more respected manager who the fuck are you trying to kid ??

Most of the time you're a level headed poster who makes some decent points, then now and again the magness in you comes rushing to the surface. I don't see Villa fans acting like this over De Matteo.

If you'd appointed someone like Nigel Pearson and he'd taken you down as Rafa did you wouldn't have wanted him to stay.
Its simply because Rafa's a well known,although past his best manager.
Newcastle are like a middle aged washed up old fella who needs a trophy wife to make him feel good about himself. Very sad.

I was just about to post this.

You don't hear villa fans wanking themselves silly because Di Matteo won the champions league with Chelsea. I think they know they have a massive rebuilding job ahead of them.

He was good at Valencia in 2004 and then has failed in the league in whichever country he has been at since whilst spending £100's of miliions. Take away one night in Istanbul and hes been a very mediocre to poor manager.
