Might be the mags but gotta be better to offload players who don't wanna be there or on mega wages,
Overhaul the first 11 and bring in players who kno the championship,
Whether he can do that is another matter

I'm not worried about it, nor riled up, which was my point about your peer Reiver. It's entirely possible to have a discussion about clubs without needing to denigrate them.

I don't think I've been rude or particularly partisan in my assessment of your club. Do you think it's fair to say that the majority of respondents I've dealt with could claim the same?
Townsend wouldn't join a relegated threatened side having just done it 6 months previously is a strange opinion to have and rightly Riv called you on it and you started moaning about how he should concentrate on Sunderland.

Shouldn't criticise others for something you then did minutes later.

Do you think that "our peer", Reiver, might be on the correct board for his views? He likes Sunderland, dislikes Newcastle and posts on a SUNDERLAND board. If you are looking for people to be respectful in discussion about Newcastle don't you think you'd be better joining any other team's forum other than Sunderland? It really doesn't take a couple of ha'penny's to rub together to work this one out now does it?
Tbf most other clubs fans think Newcastle fans are deluded wankers so he'll struggle

It's a busy board and if there were no threads about Newcastle I'd happily talk solely about Sunderland, and in fact I do keep the discussion on Sunderland as best I can, but some of your peers seem to feel the need to try to wind me up whenever I post. Not that it works, but they try none the less.

Seems a little juvenile to be unable to detach yourself from bias in discussions, but I put that down to there likely being a lot of younger lads/lasses on here.

It would want to be a Newcastle one. I know he goes on Toontastic but to be fair, the activity generated by the 6 active members is fairly slow to update so I can see why he prefers it here. But to think he'll get a majority of people having a good old discussion about how uncrappy Newcastle are? No chance, he must have less braincells than fingers.

You are defo on the wrong board if you think people aint gonna wind up the resident mag

Seriously, hang around, have a chat but dont start thinking people are being unfair for not liking Newcastle man :lol::lol:

@The Fish who would you be most disappointed to see leave? I'd be happy too see Perez leave as I think he's a canny player, along with Townsend and Mbemba.
I'd be disappointed if any of Aarons, Lascelles, Mbemba, Mitrovic, Perez, or Townsend left, but couldn't blame any of them.

Wijnaldum, Sissoko, Janmaat and Shelvey are the next strata of player that I'd be less disappointed to see the back of, but prefer it if they stayed, because they're clearly quality.

After that it's much of a muchness, want shot of Cisse, Tiote, and Riviere and his ilk though.

I don't watch Newcastle much and understand the players you mention - the likes of Wijanldum and Sissoko are part of the reason for your demise - they let you down. However, the one who I would keep who you don't mention is Vernon Anita - partly because Vernon is such a cool name but mainly because he appears to be a good player who has a spot on attitude - a far better player than, for example, Colback.

One of you fellow Sunderland fans suggested Townsend would join Sunderland and I thought he wouldn't I don't think it's derailing a conversation to continue that line of discussion. Reiver, preferred to try and have a dig.

You're presuming I've come on here to talk specifically about Newcastle. I join in conversations that mention my club, but I've not started a conversation (nor to my knowledge refocussed one) on Newcastle. Trouble is, when someone sees a Newcastle fan talking about Video-refereeing, they think he's trying to suggest that Newcastle didn't deserve to go down. I'm not expecting Sunderland fans to like Newcastle, but I honestly wasn't expecting them to talk about Newcastle so much.

It doesn't matter what the discussion was - I have pulled you up at the point where you have started suggesting that people on this board aren't very objective when looking at Newcastle - I have pointed out to you that this is a stupid opinion to have as you are on a Sunderland board where this is the expected response

You are presuming that I am presuming that you have come on here to talk about Newcastle. You are wrong. I am pointing out that your previous expectation (which you deny in this post) that Sunderland fans dont play fair when discussing Newcastle is absolutely barmy due to the fact that you are throwing your stones from the middle of the greenhouse in a scatter pattern.:lol:

Clearly it does or you wouldn't have even mentioned this. Enjoy Burton.:lol::lol::lol:

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ He'd be decent in the Championship as Dan Gosling was, but there are much better players out there and if we sell the foreign "stars" we should be able to improve on him (Will Hughes?). No point in selling him for buttons, he can do a job, but I won't bemoan his absence from the 1st team.

Big Vurn is a tidy little player and would blossom under Rafa. He's not strong enough in the tackle to play as the defensive player in a midfield 3, he hasn't the vision or technique to play passes across the pitch and he hasn't the engine to play box to box. Ironically we should have been playing him at fullback to give Janmaat a kick up the arse. I'd keep him for the same reason I'd keep Colback, we'd get nowt for him and he'll do a job when and wherever it's asked of him.

Fair enough. :-)

Do your players all have relegation clauses in their contracts to reduce their wages this season, or are you going to be paying "full price" for all those that stay?

His 2nd post was a dig at Sunderland supporters then he accuses me of being the one being antagonistic .... I think he forgets what he's saying half the time.

How gracious of you to deign to post on our wee little board grandpa.

Honestly, I think that when the expected post-relegation meltdown didn't happen it was a bit of an anti-climax. No horse punching, no smashing up the city centre, no mass protests. Positivity and hope was the overwhelming emotion on that final day.

I didn't care if Boro, Brighton or Burnley got promoted as champions, I still made predictions and had a flutter on it.
:eek::lol::lol::lol:

He's a queer cu.nt this @The Fish like, I was on newsnow Sunderland noticed an article on there from the mag fanzine about safc, not that I'm surprised like as most of their stuff is about safc and not nufc.

Anyhoo I posted the link on here and @The Fish was almost in tears saying that I shouldn't be posting stuff like that on here and should concentrate on all things safc instead.

I along with just about every other safc fan on here couldn't believe the irony of his comment as @The Fish is never off here the sad obsessed deluded fuckwit, hence he was shot down in flames by everyone on here and soon fucked off yelping like a puppy that's just been caught shitting on the carpet and booted up the arse
