I was referring to the statue they'll no doubt build for Rafa to commemorate his glories. It's what they do at Newcastle, it's special club, with special fans and other people simply don't understand.

Of course he is, because he's a very good tactician and commands the respect of his players. He's the best we could have possibly hoped for, he's much better than the position he is in.

I'm not expecting your agreement with this in any shape or form.

We're not building Allardyce up as the next messiah though and the platitudes and good will he is receiving is due to actually keeping us in the division, the job he was tasked with.

He was managing Real Madrid until they sacked him so he obviously can't fail. He loves Newcastle now too because their fans sang you'll never walk alone, moving etc.

Fast forward a year, you've had a good season, you've finished 3rd and missed out in the playoffs against Burton. Do you stick with Rafa or hound him out?

He managed to beat 3 of our relegation rivals. It's killing you lot that Allardyce isn't this anti-football coach who isn't good enough to manage Newcastle. When the facts show he's a good PL manager who'll get average teams to preform. We are both average clubs. We can't expect to compete with the mega clubs in the league. The best we can hope for is to get into the top 10 and push for a EL spot. Maybe a cup final or two.

You lot are talking about CL. Just weeks after relegation. Do you really think he can do that?

He got his tactics against Villa and Norwich spot on. They're the only two teams you'll face again next season so hopefully he'll keep it up. Well done Rafa.

Why was he out thought and his players out fought by the managerial luminaries that are Sam Allardyce, Alex Neill and Eric Black then?

Ah but they weren't his players though, once he's shipped out the likes of Shelvey / Wijnaldum / Mitrovic on their massive wages he'll be able to attract the very best with his unlimited transfer funds.
 
Newcastle will walk the Championship. They will have more resources than anyone else and a better setting squad.

But the point is, why do we even give a fuck?
 
Took him 3 weeks to decide cos he doesn't know if he's capable or not. Strung then along all this time and now he's a legend for allegedly saying meh ok then.
