He will have to make a judgement on what he wants to keep / is allowed to keep, what that may or may not bring in and how much of that he can spend. I would be very surprised if Ashley provided additional money. Its not a straightforward situation and if this goes beyond the weekend it will inevitably lead to doubts creeping into Benitez's head. I guess it all comes down to whether he fancies it or not. Only he will know that and any briefings from the club dont really indicate anything one way or the other. Basically, at this stage nee one knaas.

Good point. At the end of the day, and as we know only too well, if a number of players that Rafa doesnt fancy dont actually want to leave, then they have to be accommodated in the wage bill but generally not used. It causes enormous issues with the wage bill and the ability to strengthen the squad - its not that the owners dont want to, but they are constrained by the finances. The other question is that if players are happy to leave, then can the mags get any buyers at the right price and who will pay the wages - again we have history of this issue.

Advocaat won the UEFA Cup, league titles and cups in Holland, Scotland and Russia. Got Holland to the World Cup quarter-finals and semi finals of the Euros. Got South Korea to a World Cup and Russia to the Euros. He had 9 games to keep us up and did. Winning 3 games and drawing 3.

But as they've been relegated apparently he can leave without penalty as part of that contract; that's why they want him to sine another one.
He hasn't lepht yet as far as I know.
 
Rafa will stay at Skunksville if no one comes in for him.. He will be off like a shot if a better deal comes his way. The fact that he has been sacked from the jobs he has had at the real big clubs means he has lost a lot of credibility in recent years.
