So are you saying Benitez was a bad appointment? He couldn't do much with them, couldn't beat his relegation rivals, had a good result agains Spurs which in fairness was a tad fortunate.

Maybe but definitely not bad enough to get relegated, just terrible management all over that club.

He was appointed too late, they should have sacked McClaren earlier or just never appointed him in the first place.

What like we did with Advocaat you mean? How was it too late? Poor performances and poor results meant they were relegated. He failed to beat Sunderland, Norwich and Villa, three teams he was fighting relegation against, surely he should've motivated the players to get results against those 3 poor teams? In all honesty how many times did you watch them play over the season and what did Benitez do in the times you watched them make you believe they were good enough to stay up?

Allardyce had a lot more time than Benitez did to be fair and it was always a tough ask to beat BSA in a relegation fight because he is one of the best managers there is for keeping teams up.

I said Advocaat not Allardyce. Advocaat and Benitez both appointed the same time of the season I believe.
 
If he wanted to stay that much, he'd have signed by now. What's he waiting for? He knew the set-up when he signed.

He's not the kind of manager thought, he isn't a passionate Pearson or a Sherwood type who can come in and get a quick manager bounce and get the players fighting for the shirt.
