Same for me. I served my time in Dunston surrounded by the (nuts slap bang around the time Sky was inventing football and King Kev was driving the entertainers to 'success'. Their true colours shone through then and my experiences of them since have done nothing to change my belief. I hope the fuckers languish in the lower leagues for the next decade.
nailed on

anyone of that age will agree

I assume that this plane will fly over Cleadon on its way to and from the Hotch-Potch.

Which would be nice as that is where the bloke who started their rival "Not Obsessed Though" fund-raiser claims to be based. ;)

Has anyone tipped off MOTD/Sky about this ? Would hate for the piss take to be confined to 55,000 screaming Geordies :)
I'm quite sure SKY Sports have their ear to the ground all around the country.

i.e. they read the online editions of the regional papers as well as the national ones.

Getting a bit of grief on the Chronicle website. I can't be arsed to go through the whole thread but can anyone shine a light on the below?

The same supporters who have organised the plane are the same ones, in the same conversation on RTG, who are saying we've forgotten about the money which was raised so we deserve it. While you're trying to make this into some light hearted banter, the actual tone is slightly more vindictive to the point that some of you fellow forumites on RTG are hoping it goes over at the 17th minute to make it worse.

That's a sweeping generalisation IMO mate. No one seriously wants to offend anyone ala MH17, but the fact of the matter is that the chronicle accused Johnson of making fun of the tragedy when he spread his arms after scoring, and they have implied a similar accusation regarding this plane stunt too. That sorry excuse for a newspaper has taken a lighthearted bit of banter and tried to escalate it into a scandal purely for their own benefit in the form of website traction.

People saying that the mags have 'forgotten' how much we contributed are simply pointing out how ludicrous that accusation is. There is a sense amongst many on here that a select few Newcastle fans are using the death of two North-Eastern lads to score cheap points in a football rivalry, and offence has been taken against that.

Dont believe anyone actually wants it to fly over in the 17th minute to cause any delibrate distress to anyone mate.

Believe Whats been implied is how mental they would go when mh17 is in fact, completely irrelevant to this scenario.

The mags have took this so bad they are using anything as retorts at the moment, seen one on twitter saying people are dying of cancer and we are hiring a plane, what the fucks that got to do with anything.
