Nobody knew the message last time. I know that for a fact because I told the bloke what to put on the banner and I didn't tell anyone.

I took the message off what was a popular idea on the thread. I think the 5 at the beginning of Sunderland was either my idea or not linked to the original message idea (I forget?) and the bloke advised me to use black for the numbers.

There's no news if everyone knows the message. Let's wait until tomorrow :)

True.
I was once rescued from half way down an Alp by a French-speaking Swiss when my car (a Fiat 500, the bloody thing travelled the length of Italy from Bari and waited til we got into Switzerland to refuse to continue) broke down. The guy spent the whole journey to Martigny complaining about the British who wouldn't bother to learn foreign languages. The whole time I didn't utter a single word of English, but conversed in halting German and fairly decent French. He was just an angry man. I've always pissed mesel over the irony of that situation.

Agreed. Just had a discussion with someone who said it was a waste of money...should give it to charity. Explained that if it wasn't being done there would be no excess to go to charity. Good fun and good cause .....everyone happy, except the mags
