See that's your opinion, the people who support it don't suggest to those that don't that it's sad. Oh and the excess is going to charity so, as the target has been reached you can donate knowing it will go to charity.

I suppose the simple point is that if this plane thread didn't exist then there certainly wouldn't be a Good Cause thread and now people have the option to put in for the good cause regardless of the plane or not ;-)

I can't recall ever seeing banners flying over other grounds and thinking that's tacky and sad but maybe I've missed them.

You started it and you've completely ignored the point I was making. I was quoting from Terminator 2 and I doubt that you didn't understand that. I didn't ever suggest that "no problemo" was correct. I was defending my use of "Hasta la vista" which you said should be "hasta luego". It shouldn't.

"Hasta la vista" and "hasta luego" are bit like "au revoir" and "a demain". The difference is between a farewell salutation where there is no certainty, but a hope, of meeting again (hasta la vista) and a farewell salutation where it is almost certain another meeting will take place (hasta luego).

Sorry if your linguistic knowledge is not terribly deep. My isn't either, but I do understand that many languages, not excluding Spanish, are more subtle than a Brit on a foreign beach might think.
