Obama: It's in the interest of the United States that Britain remains in the EU

You love your country so much you fucked off to the far East to acquire a much younger female.

I'm abroad too but I don't have any faux love for the UK.

I "f*cked off" (as you put it) because having worked/paid my UK taxes for all of my working life I became sick and tired of idiots who seemed intent on belittling the country I love and reducing it to something akin to a third world state, along with being able to enjoy a far better climate/standard of living.

Maybe, you find that too difficult to comprehend?

The emboldened text is just yet more, uninformed, bullsh*t, on your part.

No idea what I've done wrong here like other than using a slightly modified flag to wind people up on St. George's Day.

That suggests you knew the reaction you would get.

Is that correct?

This "statue of Churchill" story is pathetic and anyone relying on that wants to think hard about aligning with the Fox News Wanker Faction.

The bust of Churchill that was returned was a loan while the actual bust of Churchill they own was being restored. It was always intended to be given back. Only the worst kind of dribbling anti-Obama reactionary moron uses or believes that story.

Interesting then that Obama's spokesperson said that the decision to remove the bust was not taken by Obama himself wheras Obama confirms that it was indeed he who made the decision, and he made it very quickly.

But this is only a symptom of the contempt in which he holds Britain. Cast through some of his earlier remarks and he can barely disguise it. He has been a divisive and arrogant president, ignoring the constitution at will and playing the race card to defend himself.

He is a languid chancer whose only political enthusiasms seem to be enforcism statism and placating islamist fanatics.

Wow.

I'm still undecided but Obama's contribution will have no effect on the way I vote. I believe that he has a hidden agenda and not to be trusted. I didn't have much time for Cameron prior to this but as of now I have none!

Its not really though is it, considering the Dutch are pissed off at the minute and there is growing resentment to Merkel, it couldnt be more opposite to a one nation state system

Right because we cant impose tarrifs on America back can we
Eerrrrr. No they aren't. Where do you get that information from ?

Our economy is the fifth biggest in the world.

We are a major nation by any standards.

This constant talking down of our country by Remaimers disgusts me.
How much of that is down to being a member of the EU ?

I just hope "Dave" calls in Merkel and Holland in future attempts to support his "remain" campaign.

;)

It's not like when Wetherspoons get a discount for buying their beer in bulk you know, it's usually pretty straightforward. Protectionist tariffs are pointless if they are only applied to some nations and not others.
Theres tarrifs in place now. On both sides.

In reality you moved to a third world country to get away from a much much more prosperous nation though

The amount we trade with the EU compared to the rest of the world has fallen massively since we joined and continues to fall.

This is despite the EU getting bigger and bigger.
40% of British exports go to Europe. That is a significant chunk of British exports.
A complete non story. A handful of Euro sceptics making a protest vote about proposed trade agreements with Ukraine. The Grauniad like most other British media spin it with ...

Dutch referendum voters overwhelmingly reject closer EU links to Ukraine
Two-thirds of voters oppose political, trade and defence treaty, showing strength of Eurosceptic feeling in the Netherlands

Which is complete bollocks. The reality was that the turnout just managed to scrape past the 30% limit set for it to even be acknowledged. Out of those 32% who actually bothered to turn out for this non binding totally irrelevant referendum less than two thirds rejected the closer ties with Ukraine.

So, dutch voters did not overwhelmingly reject the closer links. Two thirds of them didn't even bother turning out. As I said it was a desparate attempt by euro-sceptics to create publicity for themselves.
Dutch people by and large didn't give a fuck about the irrelevant referendum and it has hardly registered on the Dutch people's lives. It was not and still is not a subject talked about by the general public.

About 5% of British companies rely on exports to EU countries for their business, comprising about 10% of the British economy. They are mostly the very large companies who enjoy the EU's enthusiasm for heavy handed regulation, often at their behest.

This figure is falling each year, as is the EU's share of world trade. When we entered into the common market, the countries which then comprised it accounted for over 30% of world trade. The much larger EU, excluding the UK now accounts for only 17% and this is expected to fall to nearer 12% by 2020.

This is clearly not a dynamic economic entity, and not one worth the strangulating and suffocating political octopus that comes with it as a price of entry.

Well according to the Economist that 5% represents nearly half of Britains exports which go to the EU.
The first is to assert that both sides have a strong interest in a free-trade deal. This is true but any deal is unlikely to cover services. The second is to claim that, because Britain runs a big trade deficit with other EU countries, they need the British market more than Britain needs theirs. This is a fallacy: Britain accounts for only 10% of EU exports, while the EU takes almost half of Britain’s. Moreover, most of the British trade deficit with the EU is with just two countries, Germany and Spain—yet a trade agreement must be endorsed by the other 25 members too

I don't think you will find that Thailand is classed as a third world country but, ignoring that, it possesses something that the UK used to have in abundance but (imho) is now lacking, National pride!

How about the jail time for anybody who in anyway portrays or speaks about the Thai royal family in what is deemed a bad way ? Do you support that nationalism ?
The country is also as corrupt as fuck.
