Arrogant football fans

Do supporters of all teams become arrogant when they have a purple patch? Just reading a Leicester forum and this remarkable season really has gone to their heads, given that they were bottom this time last year.

"If they sit deep we'll break them down, if they push forward we'll nail them on the counter. Their only genuine option is to attack and hope to fortune - and, with any luck, provide an entertaining game in the process."

"I can see Drinky and Kante having a beast of a game as there midfield is weak as piss. I feel like this will be a walk in the park. Get an early goal and the home fans will start to grumble, 3-0 win with a Vardy brace and Drinky from distance."

It sounds like they're ready for a fall........

*Sniggers in an arrogant and dismissive manner*

I was reading it earlier. By the way its an awful forum. Even Leicester fans who've been on here say that.

Further examples: They were proposing the club should built a 60k seater stadium and they think theyll buy Defoe for a role as impact sub next season.

Serial relegation battlers with a history of getting results at this stage in the season.

Can't take it for granted.

Fair comment

Did 'they' really suggest both those things or was it one or two numpties who were immediately shouted down? If you judged any forum by the worst posts then it (this included) would sound utter shite.

considering they've been absolutely dragging out 1-0 fluke wins recently, I'm not sure why they think it will be a goal fest

Digging in and scrapping to get three points lately, yes. Cant think of any that were flukes though tbh.

I think our weak point is cattermole, Kirchoff and mvilla have been really good this season.

I havent been as impressed as some have with M'Vila (particularly the latter half of the the season) but no way is that a weak midfield. Lacking creativity? Yes. Weak? Certainly not. 'Drinky' and co will be in for a game put it that way.

Imagine if cattermole scores the winner

I would. If by weak he's meaning poor anyway which is how I'm interpreting it.
Our midfield is not poor. Mvilla and Kirchoff would easily walk into a top ten side :lol:

I didnt interpret it that way. but even so, whilst it isnt the most creative (understatement) M'Vila and Kirchoff will be able to compete with Drinkwater and Kante (the latter has been top drawer mind).

Mvila has been ordinary since moved further forward. We basically have 3 sitting midfielders comprising out central area. All 3 are decent enough playing the deeper role but the German has been the pick of them all in that role.

Lee! Lee! Lee!

I actually think Rodwell will start at his expense.

And whilst Im quite a critic of Rodwell, that is the reason he should start.

Edit: Actually, we cant win a game when he starts, so bring him on after 1 minute.

Drinkwater and Kante have been levels above them two this season mind. Our midfield is one of the reasons we find ourselves in bother for me. No pace or energy. All very pedestrian .

Looks who's liking your posts. Waste of time contributing to this thread now the chosen one has arrived on it.

We would be exactly the same and to be honest apart from the midfield comment it could quite play out that way as well. Not sure what your issue is.

I've kept an eye on Drinkwater in recent weeks and he has looked very average. The amount of times he gives it away is staggering at times. Obviously Im not saying he has been poor all season but I think Kante is covering/making him look better than he is. Soon find out, but Im not expecting our midfield to be over run on Sunday.

I do agree about the lack of pace/forward thinking in our midfield mind.
