really dont know what to make of this...never seen anything like it
It is the media though, Ashley will be happy for them to stand outside and freeze their nuts off. There is going to be a we stand by Steve statement very soon. Ashley won't be dictated to, and the media are trying to do it. Can you really see Benitez at a club who are second bottom of the league whose transfers are run by a third party and so on and so on?

its possible... can't stress that enough. Huge money motivates almost all people.

From the Mirror an hour ago, dunno if it means owt .......

" will look for full control at St James' Park if he decides to replace Steve McClaren as boss.

The ex-Liverpool and Real Madrid boss is the ONLY candidate to replace under-fire McClaren in the Tyneside hot seat.

But Benitez will only take the job on his terms - and that means tearing up the club's current transfer policy,

The Spaniard will only take charge if the club's managing director, Lee Charnley, hands him a number of assurances.

That includes taking full control of what has been a questionable recruitment approach and being able to bring in his own backroom team staff in what would be a major revamp."

If it falls through it will be quite funny. The fans would be crushed.

And Moyes etc would tell them to f right off after a very public chase of Benitez. Anyone taking the job after this chase of Bentitez is totally undermined from the start. First question from media to new boss in press conference "How do you feel about being second choice to Rafa Benitez"

To use a poker expression - it's all in time for Newcastle.
Benitez is holding the aces though.

Colback at left back on Monday? Guaranteed yellow to miss the derby if up against Mahrez. Not sure who else they have.

I think he'll take a dive to get out of the SJP derby, especially after his embarrassing attempts at stopping Johnson scoring the last time.

according to SSN no manager appointed in march or later has ever prevented a team from being relegated from the PL
I think it depends which way it is looked at. Applied to clubs already in the bottom 3 it is probably correct, but clubs sliding towards the bottom 3, as we have been in the past, it has worked.

If it's Pearson he'd totally embarrass himself again

We weren't in relegation zone when they came in though

Does that mean I was right .......... that's it, I'm logging off for good now I'm on top ;)
