It still baffles me how they can recruit for a position that isn't vacant. I think this role he has on the board is key to the whole thing. I reckon Benitez will be appointed interim head coach and McClaren will stay as an advisor on the board, with a view to everything been reviewed in the Summer.

I really can't picture Benitez at SJP tbh.

He's spelling out his demands to Ashley one by one ........ the fat lad is going to be going against everything he's done and eating some serious humble pie.

its not impossble
but its a stretch
ceding total control is something ashley has thus far avoided... and after blowing £80m this year can you see FMA opening the cheque book for as much if not more next?

Despite what all the 'major boost' brigade believe ....... no change of manager in March has ever worked in the PL :confused:

Every club in the relegation zone has been relegated, so not much new manager bounce there really.
