Newcastle Manager Situation

We need to have a bit of faith in our own team and manager. If a new manager was guaranteed a "bounce" people would change managers all the time. Garde hasn't had a "bounce", Hasselbaink has gone to QPR and they haven't had a "bounce" I don't remember us having much of a bounce under Wilkinson. It's very hit and miss, Leicester were struggling last season, if they'd changed managers people would probably credit their survival to a bounce, instead Pearson stayed and they turned it around anyway.

If players hate the current manager they might perform better for a new one but if they simply aren't good enough it doesn't matter who comes in. On derby day, whoever is in charge of them, it'll be eleven v eleven. Ours have looked a fair bit better of late (palace aside) and Allardyce will have them well drilled and well prepared. We know we can cause them trouble at the back, take the lead and all the optimism will start to seep away. We might lose it but there's no reason to be anxious just because of a new manager, we'll still have Kirchhoff and M'Vila for them to worry about in midfield, Defoe to exploit their defensive mistakes, we'll be very well rested and we'll know that a win against them makes life very difficult for them, hell, a draw would be a lot better for us than it is for them, they're the ones with the most pressure on them, they've also got the expectant crowd, the monkey on the back of 6 in a row. We can f***ing beat these bastards no matter who they've got in the dugout and if it's Mr Charisma Benitez with his fuck all experience of a relegation battle then fuck him, bring it on

Haawaayyyy!!!! Just to point out I'm not confident like.

The entire thing has been utterly made up by "journalists" of the caliber of Luke f***ing Edwards.

There are two managers who might be in charge of the filth come Monday. One is Tufty, the other is Gary Megson. It'll be the first one.

There will be a clause in there and if we go down then he'll move on, and quite rightly too.

I'm sure that has him salivating.... can't wait to take the dumbmoney wongacheques for a couple months and then wash his hands clean when the ship's scuttled to the championship...

Tufty deserves better.

Still convinced a bunch of know nowt press hacks have fallen hook line and sinker for a sitter.
We see this every year with them in the transfer windows - promises of some big name signing dragged out forever to toss a bone to the natives, followed by them signing Riviere / Piss Biscuit. It's a sop to the neanderthals. Gary Megson in charge within a fortnight, nailed on

I wish I had the confidence to agree with you, Newcastle haven't come out and denied it. I think he'll definitely go for talks though

I really wish that was true, it'd be very funny.

He would be a ridiculously good appointment unfortunately.

To be honest he could get them firing on all cylinders from the off or find himself in the same situation as big Sam. Working with shit before he has a pop at a transfer window.

Anyone's guess but one thing's for certain, this season's going to be interesting...

The uncertainty must be doing the players confidence the world of good. This will not end well for them. Every day our own chances of staying up increase as more and more uncertainty builds up the road.

If I could find an online bookie to give me odds on it, I'd have already spazzed 50 quid on it. Megson is not going to happen, more's the pity. Tufty for the rest of the season will happen. Benitez is bullshit PR in an almost certainly doomed attempt to stop the savages smashing up their own city centre again.

I really hope so, I can really see us getting something at the derby if tufty is still there

McClaren: I'd wake up and there'd be nothing. I hardly said a word to Ashley, until I said "yes" to a divorce. While I was here, I wanted to be there; when I was there, all I could think of was getting back into the Premier League. I'm in limbo a week now... waiting for a sacking ... getting softer. Every minute I stay at this club, I get weaker, and every minute Rafa squats in the Gallowgate, he gets stronger. Each time I looked around the walls moved in a little tighter.

You should go for the jugular from the first whistle. We'll be brittle and simply can't withstand any pace and movement in the first 15 minutes.

If you sit back and allow us to have a bit of the ball then we'll grow a bit in confidence and be a bit more of a threat. If you score early then history says we'll crumble.
Must start borini, khazri and Defoe then. Pace, work rate and interchanging all there.
