As I've already said I'm expecting a draw.
We put in a great performance, away at Southampton, and they're a far better side than Newcastle.
The late equaliser seems to have obscured what a grea team performance that was doesn't it?
Newcastle have just been humiliated in their last 3 games and, if that was us, many would be declaring a derby day disaster.
But because they may/may not be having an average defender returning from a long absence I'm supposed to be worried.
Now, serious question for you ....... do you find my posts, as I suspect you do, more than a little annoying?
Annoying ? Dont be daft man ! You're an argumentative fecker, but its usually rational tbf
I'm a worrier by nature, and I agree that the mags are generally poor BUT, since the Jan window opened, they have won two games [- Shelvey and Townsend played so coincidence ?] albeit v an injury weakened WHU and a shit WBA, but wins nonetheless. Some bad defeats yes, thats true too.
Our performance was pretty solid against a good Soton side {missing Long, Wanyama and the ex qpr guy dont forget], but Mannone still had to make 3/4 great saves to earn us a point.
If we have a go at their defence, we will score, but I worry that we will play cagey and if the mags come out of the traps quickly, and we come out slowly, we will get fkd ion the first 20. IF they get the crowd behind them with an early goal like they did in the Owen game, they will forget all the shit that has gone before.
I'm certain most of our lads wont be overawed and the likes of Borini, Defoe,Khazri and Kone will lap it up. its such a tough one to call, but tbf, I'd think that if we were top of the league and the skunks were bottom of the Northern Premier League !!
