Newcastle Manager Situation

Doesn't change anything, we still need 36-38 points if we want to stay up.

Aye, also conceded 20 in those games. Hopefully Benitez has a similar impact.

I think people are underestimating our improved performances.

I know we haven't got the points we probably deserved but we're keeping the points ticking over.

The last 6 games we have had Man City, Man U & Palace at home with Liverpool, West Ham & Southampton.
That is a pretty tough run of fixtures and we are all dissappointed with 6 points because we have played well.

Think our defence has improved lately and with a striker like Defoe we're always likely to score.

If we did win the Derby then it would be an almighty blow to their new found confidence and belief.

We need to treat the derby like we did West Ham and Southampton. Its just another game and we performed well if not great in those two games and could and should have got more than 1 point.

For years we built the derby up weeks in advance, lost games in the build up and bottled it on the day because we could never seem to beat them and were over anxious. For the last few years we have turned up and just played the game and now they have the complex. Don't change a winning formula. Its just 3 pts and its just another game. Don't get caught up in the hype and go and win the game.

Could have easily had another four points from those games at least but unfortunately we never. Need at least two wins and a draw from the next four, Newcastle, West Brom, Leicester and Norwich, which is achievable if we play like we have recently but have to keep a couple of clean sheets which seems impossible at the minute.

With them getting Benitez it's increased our chances of going down but only a little, still same players to work with.

Those players and £80m less worth of additions had them top half before Carver and Tufty. Really think management is their biggest problem.
