I've highlighted the key word there - of course they could get someone but they don't just need someone, they need the right person and whoever he is, he might not be willing to take it on.
I think part of the problem is the lack of relegation clauses in their contracts, they have nothing to lose whether they go down or not. One of the few things the hierarchy at our club have got right.
This also presents a massive financial problem for NUFC in the event of relegation, which is why I think they'll have trouble attracting a "top name" - he'll effectively be lumbered with the same shit squad next season if they go down.
Still can't see why Moyes, Rodgers, or Benetiz would take it like. Toxic atmosphere, second bottom with a team that looks like it couldn't give a shit and super scout Carr in charge of recruitment. If, and it's a big if that they managed to stay up, I could see one of them taking over in the summer but just can't see why anyone of them would take the job on now.
Correct. We NEED him to be in charge for the next 3 games........its our major chance to stop up.
To be fair his defence have followed those instructions spot on, look at Bournemouth's goals this weekend.Logon or register to see this image
People don't realise he's a master tactician. The Newcastle players are just too stupid to realise it.To be fair his defence have followed those instructions spot on, look at Bournemouth's goals this weekend.
The one thing we can predict is that Ashley will appoint someone completely and totally out of left field and not give a fuck
It'll be someone we never expected. Alan Curbishly. Roy Evans. Glen Hoddle. Ray Wilkins.
McClaren has done a decent job given the board he has to work with and the players that have been brought in. Too many forwards, not enough defenders. Too many show ponies, not enough work horses
Aye, could see that happening. After all, he did employ Joe Kinnear. f***ing hell, that was funny. Hope the next appointment is as comedy gold as that one.
The board have backed him with millions - I'm not sure how you can criticise them? Their big mistake was employing him in the first place.
I have high hopes that the next appointment will be just as good. Dennis Wise would be my choice. With his amazing wig.
The board have spent millions, but on players chosen by Carr not players chosen by McClaren. Too many of the players were signed because they looked like they could be sold on for more money, rather than being players who would win games.
They have ended up with a mismatched selection of players - it is really hard to see how you would put that set of players into any sensible formation and hope to win a game.
He will be gone by lunch time I reckon.
They are are a mess. But so are we as a club and have been for a good bit and still always got managers to come and try and sort the team out.
They will get someone in nee bother. Let's just hope it doesn't work!
