The crimes had been committed, evidence was shared with Byrne. He was on the field being cheered on by children. It was plain wrong and if it was another club you would be saying the same thing. Take the rose tinted glasses off and accept that the club have made a grave error of judgement.
The club need to offer an apology, Byrne needs to go and then we can move on.
There is not a doubt in my mind that if this was Newcastle, people who are sticking up for the club would be lauding it up. Not a shadow of a doubt.
