It seems to be an age thing, something I used to frown on when I was younger, it's become the first thing I check. Let's face it, take away the charity articles, the odd crime that now takes up three pages instead of one and there's only the adverts left. Mind you there's so many adds that they must be able to give the paper away free. Then there's the hangdog expression of those complaining about some trivia.

I find it hard to believe that nobody at club had so much as a cursory glance at whatever documents they received, given the circumstances.

Ok then, imagine it turns out a few people knew he was going to plead guilty at the last second. They wanted to give us the best hope of survival by playing him despite how wrong it was. I assume you will insist that any points gained while he was playing should be removed from our total???

Well it's not a case of is or isn't true. I suspect that the statement is relatively true. But it misses out bits and is very cleverly worded to skirt around issues

The club statement specifically avoids the implications made by Johnsons QC. The club has a recent history of being quite candid and open when accused of something, therefore I find it very, very hard to believe they haven't omitted some stuff from the statement.

It appears that the vast majority of non Sunderland supporters feel the same, judging by the overwhelming negative reaction to us.

do you have any proof that "the thick **** has probably tried this before on many occasions" if not you could be in deep **** yourself. The plod stood up in court saying he had no previous, and no further "victims" has come forward.

For the record Paedophillia is a recognised psychiatric condition in which a person is attracted to prepubescent children usually under 11 (cut off age is 13), therefor calling some one a paedophile who has not committed the above act could be construed as libel / slander.

Not defending Johnson but trying to create a bit of balance to this circus

As I explained, they aren't remotely similar, that was the point. I was attacked (and not even a teen), she encouraged the affair.

AJ is a criminal, he is an adult and should have ran a mile when it was obvious where things were going. The responsibility was his, I would never say otherwise. My issue is with the terms 'nonce', 'paedo' and 'child molester' from people who obviously haven't a clue what they are talking about.
