Adam Johnson Trial Verdict

If the club didn't know what he had done, they would have said it. The statement would have been a paragraph.

Since he pleaded 'not guilty' for as long as possible, the good and proper thing to do would have been to suspend him until the conclusion of the trial. Even without the child safety concerns, you cannot have someone accused of noncing a young fan representing your organisation.

Instead, they played him to help save the club from relegation.

It's really that simple and it's absolutely disgusting. Byrne should resign and there needs to be an inquiry about who else was party to the decision. Sack the head of PR while you're at it.

The 2 charges he admitted would have probably resulted in a fine and community service.

The charge he was convicted of, oral sex with a child is looking like 5 year sentence. That's how the courts view the seriousness of the offences, I agree.

Not guilty on that one.

they f***ing better not block me the *****. she lives 200 yards away from me on a twisty road and i will be going that way to Morrisons for my weekend fluid supplies tomorrow afternoon. sky headlines 'infuriated elderly safc pisspot nuts Jim White'
:lol::lol:

It was digital penetration

What do you think your questioning will achieve ?
I'll tell you what, Feck all.
I'd rather you and all the other home kit barristers talked about football.
Football, remember that ?
On Saturday I'll be watching football. Until then I'm watching my club get run over the coals. Either that's because they did something unethical, or because they are unwilling to deny it.

1) The charges he admitted to would have got him a suspended sentence because the grooming aspect is taken so seriously
2) He wasn't convicted of oral sex with a child, he was acquitted of that, and done for digital penetration

So not a custodial sentence compared to 5 years.

He committed sexual abuse, I wasn't sure of the facts. I haven't read any of the reports on the net as I couldn't give a fuck what the tabliods say.

This thread clearly isn't going to be about football, there's plenty of other threads on the board

Of course I do otherwise I wouldn't have posted and made my original comment.

It's usually used in courts & evidence and this is a QC involved in a court case ...... quite natural to believe you were speaking in legal sense tbh.

I think it was pretty clear, especially given everything I've said this thread, that what I meant was what the QC said lends support to the allegations AJ is making against Byrne, but if that wasn't clear, apologies.

Without wanting to make light of the situation one of the lads in our group whatsApp was asking if they had some sort of virtual reality machine :oops::lol:. The mind f***ing boggles

You are such a c*nt man.

There was a 15 year old girl who said it happened, texts from AJ saying he wanted to finger her, and a jury of 12 people who actually heard all the evidence found him guilty on it.

Yet you somehow know there 'was no evidence'. Arsehole.
Really ? show me the texts he sent saying that ? the was no evidence apart from her word, the same word that said she gave him a bj, when she didn't, she admits to exagerating and her friends said she was liar.

Aye, I'm not disputing that, just saying what he admitted to wouldn't just 'be a fine and community order' - the kissing isn't too serious but the grooming is.

And yes, agreed, if he had need done for the oral sex you could add another year on whatever he gets. I don't think he'll get 5 year though as I said before, 3 is more likely. We will see.

Spot on. Why would any fan want to carry on paying the CEO's wages until the right heads rolled?

He text her saying he wanted to put his hands down her pants.
