Because she's a fan of Sunderland and the man that abused her is continuing to represent the club she loves and in turn receive the support from the majority of the fanbase.
Your own striker impregnated a 13 yearold so I'm unsure why you morons are so enthralled in this.

SHE HAD THE WHATSAPPS. What isn't inappropriate about what he said to the kid.

We have no idea whether she read the Whatsapp messages or not, the latest report you're getting excited about states she was made aware that Johnson sent the girl messages, nothing more.

The club were in a very clear and straightforward position. They knew that Johnson had messaged, met and kissed a 15 year old supporter. He should - at the very least - have been suspended immediately pending the conclusion of the trial. He could not, after that point, have been allowed to take the field for us again under any circumstances. He was, and for that the club are accountable.
accountable for nothing.

I'm acknowledging the BBC's outrage. I only hope such a horrible set of circumstances is never visited upon them.

I'm not enthralled at all, quite the opposite. I'd expect this kind of conduct from the morally bankrupt people running our club but not from others.

I'm not getting into the Cisse thing again, I've discussed it before on here and not diverting the thread from the matter at hand.

Your 'groupie' comment is totally shameful, by the way.

Mate stop with the faux outrage.

Hes texted, kissed & fingered a groupie. He has rightly been sacked and found guilty. People like you are baying for his blood & no doubt he will do time.

Move on. It wont change how I feel about Safc or how I scratch my balls in the tonight when I go to bed. Life goes on.

So you're not bothered in the least about what the club knew?

i personally find it hard to believe that if AJ did tell the board the truth from the start, that the board would risk everything just to keep him at the club a little longer
Especially as the trial was initially scheduled for August, so if he had told them on 4th Msy there was what, 2 weeks of the season left? They could have sacked him, got him off the books, knowing he would be found guilty and used his wages to sign someone else.

I'm imagining probably heads on sticks
I doubt that would be enough.
Club didn't need to suspend him, they didn't need to sack him. What they could have quite easily done (if they did indeed know that he had kissed a 15 year old) was not select him for the match day squad. To avoid prejudicing the trial, the club could simply state that they were allowing Johnson time to deal with his personal issues without the added pressure of football.
Has that got anything to do with the clubs he scored against.

The PFA are getting stick too as their statement refused to deny they knew too.

This is all just covering backs and ignoring the allegations. The club can stop it in an instant by simply denying it....
But it's looks very much like they knew

As Ronan Keating once sang "You say it best, when you say nothing at all"

Poor girl.

Anyone still defending Byrne?

I haven't defended Byrne at any point and she deserves to be criticised, in fact I tend to agree with almost everything you have posted but that statement doesn't tell us anything we didn't already know. It doesn't mention whether or not they showed her evidence, just that she was told of the charges. We knew that anyway. Unless I'm missing something
