Adam Johnson Trial Verdict

Could they not have refuted Johnson's claims in the released statement? All they have mentioned is about his plea change, not what they actually knew

Oh and I'm not one to slate the club at all but this does look dodgy to me

The trouble is, in these cases, the more you say the worse it looks ....... cover up etc.

Far better to let everyone get all hysterical, vent their spleen and allow the facts out in good time.

As some people, on here, are proving it's impossible to listen when you're shouting.

The f***ing irony man :lol::lol::lol::lol:

Which is the correct approach. Their statement isn't worded right but that doesn't mean they are covering up wrongdoings. We don't know what was said in that meeting so we can't judge either way. It comes down to whether you back the clubs judgement or a convicted sex offenders word.

I was always taught to not voice an opinion from a position of ignorance, doesn't stop me most of the time but in this case I think it's best to

SAFC fans should never express how they feel towards the club. Presumably you never shout to players to shoot or whatever at the matches, because after all, that would be so arrogant that you could tell a player what to do? You're allowed to contribute positive and negative feedback to your football club you spenk.

What is your obsession with attention-seeking?
Did your parents used to deprive you of attention? You asked 'what they should respond to' - I said exactly what - the email I sent. If I was looking for 'attention' the last thing I would do is post an email on here because after 5 years on the board it is clear to me that the last thing people like is emails, letters etc. sent, probably primarily because most posters can't string a sentence together.

For someone who persistently shouts as loud as he can in threads and bores the rest of the SMB to death, you should be well aware of what being an attention seeker is.

If you want to post an email to the club ........ why announce it on here?

If you can't see that's attention seeking you're in no position to trot out your amateur psychiatrist routine to me.

You've already tried amateur barrister and failed there

No doubt by "everyone" you mean those whose arguments you feel are not reasonable and those who commit the grave error of communicating their opinion to the club or express a desire for the club to take some sort of action. And presumably we can take it as read that you acknowledge that lots of people are being very reasonable, you just never mention them.

Starting to get sick of this thread, nobody's opinions are going to change at this stage unless more evidence comes out one way or the other and we're starting to run round in circles. Gunna send the club an email so at least they know I'm not happy as things stand, seems more constructive than posting on here. Will pop back when the shit finally hits the fan ;)
really mature approach imo mate.

This whole idea that the club had full evidence of what had gone in in the form of transcripts and messages is f***ing strange to me.
The club didn't get this from the police or the CPS.
The club got the information from Johnson's legal team, the same legal team that were having no bother with Johnson saying he was pleading not guilty.

So I'm supposed to believe that incriminating evidence was handed over by the same crew that were pleading innocence of the charges?

That is the bit I find hard to understand as it makes no f***ing sense whatsoever to me like.

That's my last word on this as the thread has been circular for a while now. But if someone could post the Gudjohsen Bad Johnson photo, it would be much appreciated.

His QC never represented him in court on the basis he wasn't guilty, because by the trial he had admitted it. The QC can put a NG plea in even when something has been admitted to him, happens all the time, part of the tactics of a criminal trial.

Anyway the allegation isn't that he admitted his 'guilt' because he was saying the whole time that he was 'not guilty' but that while saying he was 'not guilty he also admitted kissing her... Much like I could say 'Mr X called me fat so I punched him in the face but I'm not guilty!'. Well you have admitted the offence but are still maintaining your innocence... happens all the time.
That was one of the charges though.

Seems to be people defending the club and absolving them of any blame that seems to be shouting the loudest now.

Funny that, apparently it was only the other side who did that 24 hours ago.

Only getting on for a dozen times

Given your loudmouth attention seeking on Jimmy Hill and Hillsborough threads it's fair to say your thd biggest attention seeker here. Never mind you reminding people about you extraordinary lifestyle down the years

Can you name just one of these people ..............

If that's true the club should just stop all this right now by denying it. They chose not to.

Entering a not guilty plea is just putting the prosecution to proof. What a QC can't do is let his client lie on the stand if he has privately told the QC he did it. But of course he eventually pleaded guilty to the things he admitted in his interviews so that wasn't a problem at trial.
That sounds a bit twisted tbh.

Who actually cares? What difference does it make at this point.
It's a golden opportunity to get rid of Mrs Byrne for some, simple as that.

If is proven that the club knew something and cynically chose to ignore it, I will not go back to watch the games..it is, after all, an SAFC organisation matter, the decision will have been endorsed by the club as an entity...getting rid of specific officers will not be enough for me. It's all about strength of conviction.

I, of course, respect those that don't see it that way.
