Just finished work so don't know what's happened, can't be arse do trawl through this thread as it's just people arguing.
To the point is he going to jail?
Suspended with pay or put on leave pending the outcome.
Aye, I would show my boss a video of me burgling a house like. :![]()
That's also the danger of people becoming judge and jury without knowing the full facts other than those that have been in the public domain, which the meeting with Byrne Johnson and his barrister wasn't.Fair enough - there's a danger of the pieces being put together in the wrong order here, as info has come out in a piecemeal way.
perhaps I should have said shelled out mega bucks for his salary AND risked loosing mega mega bucks if we got relegated
I don't know mate guilty of being part of the bullshit culture that is a footballer's life? Fletcher was going to be a defence witness, something to do with Johnson's pubes FFS. Wickham - sensibly dodged the jail bait probably cos he was shacked up with his pole dancing bird - they don't have to be saints in my book just not stupid f***ing idiots. We've seen it before with the gang-banging trio Lawrence etc. Johnson himself said he was arrogant and with no honour. Seems to sum it up.
It was for the court to decide whether he was guilty . The club should not have let him fully represent them for that period of time simple as that.At that point I think they had already brought him back from suspension after discussions with the PFA. To then suspend him again would surely have had the same connotations as noted in the post you quoted (if they are valid) wouldn't it?
So, let me think ........ I can tell my employer I'm pleading guilty now or keep coining it 'til the last minute knowing I may never be employed again![]()
maybe i'm being fairly naive here but i thought the police couldn't issue evidence that would pertain to a court case if it was to be used in court, again just a general question because i'm not a legal expertThe CEO was present in the interview and saw the documents relating to the case ie the WhatsApp messages (according to what was revealed in court, which the club haven't denied in the statement) .
From what was revealed in those messages it was pretty clear he'd be guilty. If I was a SAFC fan I'd be sickened if she didn't sack him after seeing those.
No idea if you are taking the piss or notI've followed bits - I'm just saying that at this time the club were aware that Johnson was going to plead not guilty correct? I'm sorry if there's something I'm missing here. I'm actually not trying to play dumb I'm trying to play keep up here.
Thank you - just wanted that clearing up. Confirms what I thought.
Just swerve it, as the saying goes it will be next weeks chip wrappersYou can only imagine what the press is gonna be like in the morning, over all of this.
They did suspend him...then had a meeting with the PFA, then he was back with the squad.
So you're saying that the club had seen the evidence to prove he was guilty but just expected him to get off with it?![]()
I'm pretty sure all he said was that the FA had confirmed he can play, not that we were going to have him in the squad. I might be wrong like. Either way he didn't play so it doesn't really matter
The important thing in all of this isn't the scumbag who'll be locked up or the club.
There is a young lass who is a victim in all of this, who is probably feeling very vulnerable right now. I've just read her statement on twitter and can't imagine what shes been through in last year or so. My thoughts are with her & family, the rest will sort itself out
Does it answer whether they had the whatsapps and knew he was admitting kissing the girl like? The way I read it they don't answer any of the qs about what was said to them by him (apart from him pleading not guilty)
As above...I do not agree with this.
