It doesn't. The trial is over. Hence SAFC releasing a statement. Hence the article in the Mirror. It's over, end of.

If they manipulate the information then why hasn't the club categorically denied it?
 
To be fair, there's bound to be someone comes on saying something like 'I dont believe the club, they are lying'. Whilst Im sure words to that effect are posted on message boards across the country every day, in reality, its libellous, and it would be a surprise if the club is watching the board very closely.

That the club had been told of Johnson himself in the presence of his legal team and dad that he had kissed the girl.
Yeah they deny not knowing he was going to plea guilty but it's just an irritating that they aren't responding to the direct accusation that was made.
 
I'm mixed over this. On one hand I think the club could have handed it better but on the other I think that utter fuckwit has put them in a position where they can't win.

I'm certainly not inclined to be to hard on the club based on the words of that fucker Jo*nson
 
There are some serious questions that the club need to answer as to what exactly they knew, what they were told and when they knew it.

I don't know, maybe they have their reasons, maybe if he has lied they can't say so.
I'm just not willing to beat them around the head having been on the end of people lying under oath to win cases against me.

in that case why did they not state johnson was lying about what he told them instead of just ignoring the whole matter

If they sacked him on the spot it would be exactly what the people who run this site are terrified of, sub judice. Personally I think the club now have ample cause to sue him for the money he effectively stole, having lied to both the police and club in order to keep making money.

Nobody is suggesting the club are lying. If you read what they say it would be pretty hard to accuse them of lying giving they completely fail to answer the question as to whether or not Byrne/ senior management knew months ago what was in the messages/ that he kissed her. You can't tell the truth or lie if you avoid answering the question...
