I would disagree, if anything it merely highlights that the sentences for taking a life need to be higheri agree - very very harsh
Did they? Were you in the meeting? Because I've been in many meetings where in Court the detail of that meeting has been lied aboutIt's not just you.
The club knew what he had done, in considerable detail, and continued to select him for the best part of a year.
Byrne should resign.
Hardly. He changed his plea to guilty on the day the trial began, if he had previously admitted them to the club he would have had to change the plea then.Pathetic response. "Some documents, tactical decision making" completing avoiding the issues.
....and admitted he knew she was under-age at the timeis it me or have they just ignored the fact that he admitted to the club he HAD kissed a 15 year old?
Reading between the lines but I'm not sure they know exactly what accusations they're answering. They use words like "it is understood" and that they're learning about it "from the media".Where does that statement answer whether the club knew he admitted in the police station kissing the girl/ admitted kissing the girl in general? That is the allegation that has been put to SAFC.
What the club are saying on my reading of it is to ignore the question of what they knew / didn't know and instead say 'well he wasn't pleading guilty so that's what we went along with, if we knew he was pleading guilty we'd have sacked him'.
But that isn't the issue. The issue is whether *despite* knowing he was pleading not guilty, they knew what he was admitting to. That's statement doesn't answer that IMO.
He didn't though, he said he was pleading not guilty on all counts.is it me or have they just ignored the fact that he admitted to the club he HAD kissed a 15 year old?
I'm glad stuffs being deleted, he's gone, he's guilty.
according to the Daily Mail (I know)I know footballers are generally not the brightest but this is up there with the dumbest. He's thrown away his career and his liberty for a fumble in the back of his car. What a f***ing spenk.
ah well yes - bring back hanging for murder i say!!!!!!I would disagree, if anything it merely highlights that the sentences for taking a life need to be higher
See above. From that statement in not sure they're aware of exactly what's been aid. They've heard something in the media and rushed something out.Why would you suggest the club have not refuted the claims that they knew what he had done all along?
They are saying he didn't?
I would of expected Byrne/ someone from the club to have been a witness in the case. Im quite annoyed nobody was either because we would of had more answers.
The ....The what ???Is he signing the nonce jotter then ?
