Where did you read that mate? All I could find was that he'd be sentenced at a later date, and that prison was almost inevitable. Didn't see any mention of a time to serve.
The judge advised him starting point is 5 years but could be 4-10 years.

Judge has said minimum of 5 years, maximum of 10.
No, 5 years is the starting point - but a starting point is NOT the minimum, he can come down from there (say for time already served, or for pleading guilty early on etc).

So for instance, you can have a min of of 2 years, a max of 10 years and a starting point of 5 years (purely as an example). Hope that helps.

Sounds like the club handled it well, took advice when needed and respected the principle of habeus corpus given that they were under the impression the plea would be not-guilty.

Hope the club take a civil case against the twat to recoup some of his wages that would have not been spent had he been honest.

Where does that statement answer whether the club knew he admitted in the police station kissing the girl/ admitted kissing the girl in general? That is the allegation that has been put to SAFC.

What the club are saying on my reading of it is to ignore the question of what they knew / didn't know and instead say 'well he wasn't pleading guilty so that's what we went along with, if we knew he was pleading guilty we'd have sacked him'.

But that isn't the issue. The issue is whether *despite* knowing he was pleading not guilty, they knew what he was admitting to. That's statement doesn't answer that IMO.

I would of expected Byrne/ someone from the club to have been a witness in the case. Im quite annoyed nobody was either because we would of had more answers.

this thread isnt anywhere near as good as mine about Johnson 10 mins ago but that got pulled!!!! the OP is obviously Rogers gay lover! tssk!
