Rafa Benitez the new Real Madrid boss

Real Madrid have lost the plot

Benitez has failed with Napoli compared to when he took them over and he's spent a hell of a lot on them.

Definitely starting to live off his reputation rather than anything he's achieved recently. Had a dreadful final season at Liverpool, his reign at Inter was a shambles, did OK but nothing more at Chelsea and he's taken Napoli backwards since his arrival despite them being the biggest spenders in Italy by some distance whilst he's been there.

Interesting the way most news outlets are spinning Benitez stats in his favour with the 17 wins in 25 business. None stating the fact Real Madrid have 8 fewer points than the 2014/15 season and 7 fewer points than 2013/14 season.

Hold my hands up that he pulled off a miracle in the CL with Liverpool, but all he's done since then is go all out in cup competitions and completely negate the league in order the fill up his CV. He did disastrously at Inter, he made Napoli one of the most boring sides in Europe and they didn't even get in the CL despite outspending most in the league in his final season and now he's (unsurprisingly) failed at Real Madrid.

An absolutely farcical appointment in the first place given that he was a failure at Napoli, every bit as bad as Man United appointing Moyes.

I reckon he got the job as he was seen as a Spanish Mourinho. Born and bred in Madrid and originally a member of the Madrid technical staff.
