No.

Our friends son was mugged by some smack head last week. Drugs wreak of crime and weakness.
I think I agree broadly, if not completely, with your position here.
I doubt there's a single person who says 'yinnar I really fancy being an addict, it sounds choss. Giving blow jobs in the bus station bogs for crack money must be ace'. Unfortunately a large proportion of drug takers either have their health negatively affected in some way and/or they become addicts. This means they either had a genetic predisposition towards addiction and/or they are just weak. Either way, although I don't advocate making them illegal, when I meet someone who absolutely can't survive without beer, tabs, tea, coffee or other drugs I can't help but feel that they were either stupid for risking their possible predisposition, or weak for Bing ruled by their addiction.

What about someone who smokes cannabis as pain relief for a debilitating illness?

Plenty of people take recreational drugs and otherwise live completely normal lives.

Canabis? Ask those who take it on here for relaxation. They love it. Does nothing wrong to the body according to them m. Alcohol is worse they say....

If a Doctor prescribes it. Then fine.

Plenty makes it okay? Are you a parent?

There is nothing wrong with cannabis at all. You just can't lump it in with Class A drugs. It never killed anyone and it is nowhere near as bad for you as alcohol.

Would you supply canabis to your children? My parents in law bought me a bottle of malt

A doctor prescribing doesn't make it okay IMO

it's how a lot of people end up on long term treatment for pain meds, being given them in the first place

9/11 and why we should have a minutes silence. 9/11 was horrible genuinely was but we had a minutes silence at college because of it (we did last year I didn't go in this year). Probably a unpopular opinion

Yes, I am a parent. I think the biggest danger with some illegal drugs is the very fact they are illegal, I. E. The people who produce and distribute them.

Would you be okay with your child taking canabis or cocaine drugs? I wouldn't.

...

I wouldn't be happy (especially if it was cocaine) but you have to let people (even your childten) make their own choices in life. There are many users of coke and cannabis who have had long lives and successful careers.

Casual use is possible. They don't destroy the lives of the vast majority of people who use them. But I get your point, they aren't to be condoned but nor should they be demonised beyond the reality of the situation.

You're wasting your time. It would appear that the most popular unpopular opinion expressed on here can be summed up as "I prefer to ignore the evidence when deciding what I think."

Too many people accept drugs readily. They destroy you biologically and socially. They mess people up.

My cousins first wife soon got a liking for coke after her 'friends' would throw parties.... They weren't short of a few bob either - but she was withdrawing up to £500 a week to feed her habit. Needless to say it was divorce. Really sad.

Cannabis yes. Cocaine no. They are two totally different things. Why lump them together?

Alcohol is a drug. Nurofen is a drug. Cafeine is a drug. Be more specific about which drugs you mean, they are entirely different substances with entirely different effects.

I have been.

I really find it funny when people on here love to defend canabis for leisurely usage. Smoking weed maybe accepted in the Netherlands and some families on here. It's not part of my life.
My mate is a primary headteacher. He often has to challenge some parents as to why their child's clothes smell of canabis. Classy.
