Also Darlington is not majority Mag its even between the four clubs. More who only follow Darlo than you'd think.

I'd agree with that. I've spent time in Darlington over the last few years through work and haven't found the amount of Mags that people talk about on this board. I would say Mags/Boro about the same and SAFC not that far behind. Contrast that with Hartlepool which has easily twice as many more than SAFC and Boro put together.

I'm from the Durham pit villages (Deerness Valley) and it really does depend on which village your from. Some are Sunderland strong holds, Sacriston, Ushaw Moor, Brandon and some a very plastic Mags, Langley Park, Esh Winning, New Brancepeth.

The mag supporters if I remember when I was a youth (long time ago) mainly went to the match for the trouble. Skins in kilts with 14 hole dm's. The "Durham Mags" got quite a reputation if I remember right. Even though quite a few were close friends, I still couldn't stand the loud mouth dicks...........
I played cricket at Ushaw Moor for years and I would say it was at least 70/30 us. And funnily enough the mags at the cricket club were plastic and predominantly originated from Esh Winning

Take it from someone who knows Hartlepool well. The placed is chocker with them.

People talk about Darlington being full of 'em, and I'm a lot closer to Hartlepool than Darlington so have no real interest in talking up one at the expense of the other, but I've found there to be far more Mags in Hartlepool.

It would be surprising to some how the people of Hartlepool seem have a real liking for Newcastle. Chocker block, and they don't like us at all. Not everyone by all means, but a lot of 'em.

Decent number of NUFC season ticket holders from Hartlepool

Nee way.

Depends where abouts in co Durham,I would say consett,Stanley etc is more mags were as east Durham is more Sunderland
I work in Chester and it's more mag than Sunderland at work

If you are looking at the 16 to 35 year old age group in the Durham area there will be more mags. This does not count east Durham though there seems to be loads of mags in small pockets in that area

There are 4 Sunlun in my little rural village (3 being family !) who all travel either regular or occasionally & 1 cvunt who has never been north of Tunbridge Wells, 6'3", thin as a rake, chin worse than Jimmy the twat Hill & ears like the FA Cup so looks like a typical Magtwat :)

In all mixed areas it seems all the mags are generally chavvy tramps who feel the need to wear their replica kit whenever possible.

I find it staggering I spend the day in Newcastle (on a non match day), I see 1 or 2 nufc tops if that, then go to Consett or Durham and its full of scruffs wandering around with Virgin Money & NTL World tops

You very rarely see a scruff/clip walking around in Safc replica gear.

Peterlee and Easington is 60/40 Sunderland but that v People who go to the match its 95/5 to Sunderland.
Similar ratio to Durham if not slightly in the mags favour sadly.

Its surreal how the majority of mags in Co Durham are scruffy mongy charvas whereas the Sunderland fans in said areas tend to be decent workingclass respectable people who go to games.

Horden is at least 90/10 and out of those 10% mags you'll be lucky if a quarter of them have ever been to the shit tip.

Horden is at least 85/15 and out of those 15% mags you'll be lucky if a quarter of them have ever been to the shit tip. Off the top of my head there's buses to home games from 6 locations in the Horden/Peterlee area. There's a minibus of mags from Peterlee Labour club and that's it.

Don't mean to sound thick but is horden east durham near seaham?

East Durham aye, 6 or so miles south of Seaham.

Disgraceful, the citizens of Durham have allowed this to happen!

So the villages where SAFC support is prevalent are "strongholds". Those where NUFC hold sway are full of "plastic Mags"?

For the record my experience of Sacriston is far from an SAFC "stronghold".
