Therein lies the problem with you deluded fuckers

Of course we're a bigger club than you are.

You've never done anything in this league, you yo-yo up & down and when you get a decent striker, we waltz in and take him off your hands

A lot of people on here need to wake up & smell the coffee
 Yes because Bent did wonders for you

Does any of it really matter?
Both have a mixed set of fortunes through history, and whilst Aston Villa's success have been greater than Sunderland's (in my opinion) - does that make it a 'bigger' club? whatever that means.
Nottingham Forest twice won the European Cup, but does it make it a bigger club than Arsenal?

Fans seem to use this 'bigger' status as though it somehow reflects something, or makes them more worthy. The truth (in my eyes) is that if you're supporting ANY club in the top tiers, you've probably taken a relatively easy option. It's the poor fans paying to watch Accrington, or Carlisle etc in poor conditions, with little to cheer about that deserve all the credit - not fans of big clubs arguing about which football corporation is earning the most money, or has the most customers.
You might as well be arguing over your iPhone vs Android phones.

Ever yset of fans does this, and most fans don't appreciate another set of fans arguing that their club is 'smaller' - but who really gives a toss? What next's - who has the biggest stadium?

We'll, during lifetime, we've both been in the third division but they've won the two biggest prizes available as well as others.

We're a fair way behind them but neither are big clubs these days

Missing the point mate, if you have over 7,000 empty seats how can anyone take them seriously when they sing about other clubs not selling out?
Get your point but the whole argument is who is the bigger club, and that is Villa regardless how many were there today.

Absolute bollocks, I support Sunderland as that is my local team, all my family support Sunderland. I've supported us for 42 years. Are you seriously insinuating that I've taken the easy option supporting Sunderland?

Anyone care to translate this for me?

Thanks in advance
You absolute cretin, just found out u had 35000 there today at least 3000 from safc yeah yeah big club haha you fukin part timing wankers ,hope sherwood takes u lot down !

Villa have more league titles, more fa cups, more league cups, more top flight seasons, many more European games and obviously the European cup. Apart from that, about the same historically
WHD and Cridge, sitting in a tree.......

I'm not arguing the point who is bigger, my point is that they sing an absolute cringeworthy song when they have poorer attendances compared to us.

Of course none of it matters-Until Sunderland fans realise how deluded they are though, it will carry on.

Look at the Bent thread on here when he was leaving-They couldn't believe it at first and when the penny slowly dropped, it became "Judas" etc. Look at the threas when Delph was selected for England and how many on here were claiming Cattermole should have been ahead of him.

It is ignorance and stupidity that is annoying and pointless arguing with. I prefer to continually remind these deluded fools of their standing within the Premier League-The responses are often quite amusing.

Funnily enough our standing is on par with Villa, deluded fool.

If we charged what they charge for tickets we wouldn't sell out either.
What do they charge? Oh and we don't sell out.

You need to price your tickets relevant to the wages in your area.

And that still doesn't detract from the fact the sing a song about empty seats does it?

Look mate, I love SAFC but let's be realistic. All I've done is post facts and the fact is, villa are a bigger club than Sunderland. It's embarrassing to argue otherwise. Does it bother me? Not at all. SAFC are still a big club, just not as big as villa, who are one of the most successful clubs in England.

We are on here because we are Sunderland and our bias will be absolute, if you don't like what we say then I suggest you go back to your own forum and gloat/bitch about your own team. We are shit, we know we are shit but it's our shit who we will support till we die, so kindly fuck off!
