I would say we are both top English clubs with good a good history. I bet villa v Sunderland is one of the most common top flight fixtures, it's got a lot of history. They have won more leagues, they have won one post war we have not, 7-6 to them, they have won the European cup, and stacks more fa cups than us. Our fa cup record is shite for a club of our history. We have more passionate and numerous fans, they will never beat us on that score. If we were both near the top we would have bigger crowds without a doubt.

But attendances are an important criteria in determining a big club, I mean if only 30 or so thousand can be bothered to come out and support this behemoth that's Aston Villa in Britain's 2nd city what does that tell you?
