You've been told. A city the size of Birmingham and the best you can do between you is 50,000. Small fry in comparison with Manchester and Liverpool, and the two Sheffield clubs do better than you considering the size of their city and they don't have a top flight club.

Why Aston Villa are seen as a big club is beyond me. Leicester and Derby put you to shame.

Assuming Villa were so big, then they'd take a lot of the support in places around them plus from the city of Birmingham, but they can't get much more than an average of 33,000? Not that big. Seems the people in your area forgot about the European Cup a long time ago.
