Dicks future in doubt again

It's quite clear that Dick is asserting himself here. When a manager does that, it's usually followed by a parting of the ways.

Something's got to give here and I fear the worst.

He's been around the block, and had enough success, that he really doens't have to deal with a knacker like Short who clearly does not know what he's doing.

I'm glad someone with authority has finally said what a lot of us on here have suspected for a while.....Short is gambling on scraping survival instead of giving a top quality coach the right players to work with.

Cannot blame him like. Hes managed semi finals of the world cup and won trophies all over the world and out of nothing else but desire gave up his retirement for us and is now preparing for a game against Exeter with no sign of any quality coming through the door for him to work with to Improve.
His comments about our defenders in training sounds like hes teaching children to open boiled eggs.

Fat Sam could be here next week at this rate - watching the coy bugger on MOTD his words were saying one thing but his fat face was saying another :)

It would probably finish me off to be honest.

If his awful rugby/basketball hybrid tactics aren't enough to completely dishearten supporters the fact Short would rather let a top manager quit than spend any sort of cash is utterly depressing.

I hate unhappy camps as it should be done behind doors and thought we needed a yes man if he dof route was to work but at least he is being honest, that's all you can ask.

Pile o'shite.

I might reply though, just so the Metro can quote me tomorrow and for it to somehow become a newsworthy comment.

We all thought Short was heaven sent but he is the devil in disguse

Hardly, he's watched 200m spunked on shit, but dick is basically saying back me or sack me, shit or bust for Short

We haven't had a top quality manager until Dick

Short's money has been wasted by prior managers (along with congers with the chodwell, bridders/buckers, etc.)... He should be wary... but fuck, why bring Dick back if you aren't going to back him?

Shit or get off the pot and send him packing and bring in Bracewell to guide us down.

Maybe he's trying to be principled and follow FFP to the T since it's his baby but fuk me, this is NOT the year to gamble with relegation... we've had more than our share of relegation luck...

Why bust the bank to get someone back to the club, promise him funds to improve the squad ( not 50 million of course) then totally back track

Its a bit of a farce

This for me. What was the point in bringing him back if we werent serious about properly investing. I agree with everything Dick is quoted as saying there. He has beat around the bush a couple of times when saying basically invest or we are fucked and finally he has just come out and said it because its gettig close to the wire and the club still seem to be moving slowly with bringing players in De Guzman aside and that deal still has plenty of time to go tits up. He came back not expecting to struggle again and I think he thought that he could guide us to mid table and a cup run. He is just being blatantly truthful and factual about the squad we have and the transfer frustrations he is feeling and I for one wouldnt blame him at all of he walks away in a week or so, if we dont do something in the transfer market.

Who Allowed MON to spunk money on shite such as Fletcher or Graham & Poyet on Bridcutt & Buckley Mr Short so he is an astute business man I think not

He doesn't need the job and is saying it how it is imo. Ball firmly in short's court.

Now isn't the time to fuck up and get relegated, but thats exactly where we are heading if we don't buy quality this week
