Nobody wants Ashley and everyone still hopes he fucks off, but he has at least made a small crumb of effort this year and hes clearly not going anywhere so what else can we do? The protests forced his hand so much that he made his first national TV appearance and promised changes, which to an extent he has delivered on, at least we don't take being treat with contempt by the board lying down unlike your lot who seem to be happy with finishing bottom 5 every season as long as there's a derby win in it.

Nobody ideally wanted McClaren either but he is being given a chance by the fan base, what should we have done protested against the bloke before he even started?

They are signing their targets earmarked for a years time now while they are cheap and they have the money to do so. Meanwhile we are still trying to clear up the mess from the Di Canio era

"The protests" largely consisted of vitriolic and co ordinated abuse towards the man who had performed very well in achieving mid table status.

When you helped force him out you lost nearly every single game, but did not seem too bothered, and there were still no sign of any further protests until you lost yet another derby. It was only then that you started on Ashley for a while.

If / when McClaren doesn't get top 6 or if you lose the derby again then you will all tear into him. It's always the same old story with the mags.

Oh aye, utter delusion to say that we've brought in some good players and have a better playing style, but still conceding that top 10 might be a tall order, how deluded of me.

FFP will never work. City is best example using naming rights for their stadium. Etihad giving them £400m over 10years when they are a 1/3 the size of BA and have not made a profit since 2004...

Clubs can bend the rules as well when it comes to over spending, provided "they can show an uptrend in finances or show credible means to pay back debts"

It's loophole galore
