I looked at your squad list the other day and its massive. Not commenting on the quality as that is questionable but there must have been 30 players who you could say were in or around the first team. Must be a fair sized wage bill.

No, because that would lead to us being relegated and him losing his place on the gravy train.

He's doing the bare minimum as usual with the aim of finishing 17th. Anything else is a bonus. If by some absolute fluke we have 25+ points on the board by the turn of the year he'll sell the player that is the most valuable and coast to the end of the season. He's learned fuck all.

I think you overestimate how much NUFC means to him financially.. Tesco, Debenhams, Sports Direct, JD Sports, London real estate etc etc..
 
The one concern I'd have about this, other than I've never seen him play, which would be the same as if he was signing for us is that from what I've read a deal has been agreed for a couple of weeks but he's been stalling because he's dad wanted him to go elsewhere.Again in fairness that would be the same if he was signing for us.

Both Winjadlem and Lens seemed to be more than happy to sign for us respectively. I'm not naive enough to not realise it happens but I'm always a little cautious when players seem to publically be considering other clubs.

I'm really bored with this shit. You all try and make it sound like it's unusual. There are a dozen clubs, at least, who are ran in the same way. It's just that their fans don't start daft websites, hold mock funerals, demonstrate their lack of spelling skills on bedsheets, treat the world to the sight of their enormous fat guts in November etc etc

Ashley has actually done a very good job for your club. You are not in the top 7 clubs, it's a closed shop - f***ing deal with it

Tier 1 - Chelsea, Manchester x2, arsenal
Tier 2 -Liverpool, Spurs

The rest are all in same boat eg the financial reality forced upon them is that it's all about staying up. To make financial sense the challenge is to stay up at least cost.

As supporters this is difficult to accept but is absolutely the reality. Newcastle seem to have a significantly larger proportion of fans not able to understand this reality. Perhaps it includes you!

I would say the majority of other clubs at least spend the money they generate, and which of the other clubs have gone on record and said they weren't interested in even trying to compete in cup competitions.

NUFC exist purely for Mike Ashley to advertise his sports retail company all over the world.
