Obviously very highly rated and could be excellent but he's a significant risk- Young, stepping up into a league that punishes much more experienced players and a far from brilliant goal scoring record so far. He's actually a far bigger risk than Wickham was and at that price wont really be given time if he doesn't hit the ground running.

I keep getting tagged in threads on a Sunderland board about topics relating to Newcastle, you's don't care though I bet.

Glad it looks like we've finally managed to get this done, hes a tremendous talent, and I would compare him to Diego Costa only better.

Just need a couple of good solid CB's (not injury prone has beens like Kaboul, Brown and O'shea and we should have a decent team to start the season with, just wish we had brought in a bit of a better manager to coach the fuckers, but McClaren is a significant upgrade on Pardew/Carver.

That's funny, I spell 'deluded' like that? Must be different in Newcastle.

Fancy a little wager on Pardew finishing well above Mclaren?

Not sure i agree with that last statement. Riviere was given the entire season and right up to and including the last game he was supported by the fans. Wickham was mismanaged in my opinion, he barely got any game time iirc and a lot of the games he has been playing have been out wide instead of down the middle.

This thread is full on bi-polar. The usual people bedwetting over the amazing player the mags have signed and the ones arguing that he is shite despite never seeing him play. The only things we know is that he's highly rated and he won't turn out exactly like Altidore or lukaku.

There's loads of instances where 'wonderkids' on Football Manager have turned out live up to it in the real world.

There's also loads that haven't, mind.
Aye, but the majority of those that dont tend to be South American, obviously harder to judge.

Not many young European players that don't tend to become good players after being 'wonderkids'.

Tony Foster @tutfoster obsessed 1992 Durham Mag who grew up a stones throw from Sunderland is watching this thread mind, he spends half his life monitoring RTG. Understandable given we are his local team but haway.
Obsessed that daft ****. Blocked him yonks ago

Paper talk on SSN suggesting Porto have matched their offer. Not sure if this was before or after the medical news but his dad was quoted as saying they were waiting for Porto

meh,,,,i'll pop back when this reaches over 1500 replies, like the thread on our last signing did
