the thing is we have, people have become too used to top flight football every year

I expect as a club on the lookout for new quality players we will have made tentative inquiries to many clubs and or agents about numerous potential targets. We may or may not asked about Wij. Probably the mags have done the same. Serious intent is when we put an offer on the table. I doubt we have done that for this fellow cos it seems the initial inquiry got the answer pizza off I want Champs League

Fletcher, Johnson, rodwell - all big money signings.
I'd assume if you looked at our net spend over the last ten years we would be in the top ten spenders in the country.
Not sure why you think they've lacked ambition.

Far too logical a response for a thread such as this. Over 1,300 posts and several days' worth of unmitigated tripe. There is no point in this thread. Everyday several people suggest that something be done about it. What happens? Nothing. The Mods look on, possibly in disbelief, but seemingly unable to make the appropriate decision to spare the smb world of this completely irrelevant and totally pointless thread. It's many many days since anything new or relevant has been posted an the thread should have been euthanatised long ago. I really don't understand why it's allowed to continue. Start a genuine thread on a random player such as Zlatan Ibrahimovitch and what happens? The thread disappears even though there's more chance of Zlatan coming here than Wijnaldum, imho, iirc, man, woman, man.
